Joan Philomena Cosgrove (Eves)
October 27, 1927 - December 29, 2024
Joan Philomena Cosgrove (Eves), past president and lifetime member of the Royal Canadian Legion; Brooklin Branch 152, passed away peacefully with family by her side on Sunday, December 29th, 2024, at the age of 97.
Loving wife of Stephen Cosgrove for 75 years. Much-loved mother of Gary Cosgrove and his wife Jane, and Kevin Cosgrove and his wife Belinda. Cherished grandmother of Thomas (Nicola), Cameron (Rachelle), Stephen (Brittany), and Jessica (Garrick). Great-grandmother of Sophie, Aria, Colton, Lucas, Dawson, Capri, Harrison, and Aurora.
Survived by her sister Sheila Readwin (late Arthur) and predeceased by her brother Edmund (late Frances). Joan will also be fondly remembered by many nieces and nephews in England.
Joan’s family wishes to express their deepest gratitude to the staff of Hillsdale Estates, Port Perry Hospital, and Oak Ridges Hospice for their care and kindness shown to our family during this time.
A celebration of life will be held at the Royal Canadian Legion, Brooklin, on Sunday, January 5th, 2025, from 2:00 to 5:00 p.m.
In memory of Joan, memorial donations to Oak Ridges Hospice or the Royal Canadian Legion, Brooklin, would be greatly appreciated.
