Marie Jeanne Couture

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved Aunt Marie Jeanne Couture, who passed away on February 13, 2025, at the age of 89.

Born in Chatham, Marie Jeanne was the daughter of the late Francis and Melda (née Couture) Couture.
She is now reunited with her siblings Ovila, Marion, Cecile, Adele, Leona, Yvonne, and their spouses.

A beloved aunt to many nieces and nephews, Marie Jeanne will be dearly missed by her many friends at Maple City Retirement.
The family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to the staff at Maple City Retirement for their continuous support, compassion, and friendship.

Marie Jeanne was an avid card player, known for her love of euchre and her good luck in pepper. Family was very important to her, and she dedicated much of her life to caring for her parents and helping on the family farm.

Family will receive friends at McKinlay Funeral Home, 459 St. Clair Street, Chatham, on Tuesday, February 18, 2025, from 2:00 – 5:00 pm.
A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at Immaculée Conception and St. Philippe Parish, 24150 Winter Line Road, Pain Court, at 11:00 am on Wednesday, February 19, 2025.

Donations made in memory of Marie Jeanne to the Chatham-Kent Hospice Foundation would be appreciated by the family.
