It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Leo Crausen, a devoted husband, loving father, cherished Opa, and proud great-grandfather. After a long and courageous journey with dementia, Leo passed away peacefully, surrounded by the warmth and love of his family.

Born in the Netherlands, Leo immigrated to Canada as a young boy with his parents, five brothers, and two sisters. Together, they embraced a new life filled with courage, resilience, and hope. Those early experiences shaped the kind, hard-working, and generous man Leo became.

Leo was the beloved husband of Margaret Warren-Crausen, a dedicated father to Lisa (Reg) and Christina Crausen, and a proud Opa to his grandchildren Kelly, Brandon (Bethany), Nicolas, Sarah, Madisyn, and Jacob. He was also a great-grandfather to Tatum, Rowan, and Renley (to be born), each of whom brought him immense joy and pride.

A man of quiet strength and deep compassion, Leo touched the lives of all who knew him. His gentle humour, wisdom, and unwavering support will be remembered always.

Leo’s final care has been entrusted to Zohr Family Funeral Home, Eganville where a visitation will be held on Monday, April 14, 2025 from 12:30pm until time of service at 1:30pm in the funeral home chapel. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to The Dementia Society Ottawa Renfrew County or the charity of your choice in Leo’s memory.
