Margaret Rose “Maggie” Curran (nee Rice)
September 30, 1939 – October 14, 2024

Margaret “Maggie” Curran passed away peacefully at home on Monday, October 14, 2024, at the age of 85. Maggie was a beloved resident of Chesterville and the loving wife of the late Hubert Curran, with whom she shared 63 wonderful years of marriage.

Maggie was the cherished mother of Larry (Connie) of Trenton, Darlene of Chesterville, and Scott of Chesterville. She will be greatly missed by her dear sisters Betty Dillabough (late John) and Linda Skuce (late Ab), and was a much-loved grandmother to Kathleen, Melissa, James, Julie (Stephen), Andrew (Nikki), and a devoted great-grandmother to Owen, Ethan, Kaleb, Carleigh, Sophia, Finley, Chelsea, Randy, and Liam.

Predeceased by her parents, Esbon and Agnes Rice (nee Park), her brother Russell Rice, and her sisters Lois McLaughlin and Marjorie McGrory, Maggie is also survived by her nieces and nephews, all of whom will remember her fondly.

Friends are invited to join the family for a visitation at the Royal Canadian Legion in Chesterville on Saturday, November 9th, from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the memorial service at 11:00 a.m. A luncheon will follow, and the interment of cremated remains will take place at Ormond Cemetery. The family gratefully acknowledges donations to St. Andrew’s Presbyterian Church in Chesterville in Maggie’s memory. If donating online or by cheque directly to the charity, please include the note “please notify the family.”
