Maria Civita Curtis

April 12, 1929 – January 9, 2025

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Maria Curtis in her 95th year on January 9, 2025, in Richmond Hill. Born on April 12, 1929, in Atina, Frosinone, Italy, Maria was a loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother whose family was the center of her world. She will be deeply missed and forever cherished by her extended family and friends.

Visitation will take place at Holy Cross Catholic Funeral Home, 211 Langstaff Road East, Thornhill, Ontario, on Tuesday, January 14, 2025, from 2:00 PM – 4:00 PM and 6:00 PM – 8:00 PM. The Funeral Mass will be held on Wednesday, January 15, 2025, at 9:00 AM in the Chapel of St. Joseph at the same location, with entombment to follow at Blessed Virgin Mausoleum, Holy Cross Catholic Cemetery, 8361 Yonge Street, Thornhill.

Donations in Maria’s memory can be made to the Parkinson Foundation or the Canadian Cancer Society.
