CRIPPS, Cyril Frank, F.I.I.C., - Cyril passed away on January 6, 2024 at Scarborough General Hospital.
Cyril was born on March 22, 1936 in Surrey, England.
After spending 2 years in the British RAF, Cyril met and married Joyce Christine (nee Matthews) in 1960 and immigrated to Canada in 1964, where they started a family.
Cyril was employed as a Senior Executive with the Phoenix Continental and Zurich Insurance companies before retiring in 1993.
In addition to business, finance, and actuarial assessment, Cyril had many interests and hobbies, making him a well-rounded, interesting, and dynamic person.
Cyril is survived by his wife, Joyce; daughters, Susan Elaine and Janice Elizabeth; son-in-law, Luciano; grandchildren, Ava Elizabeth and Anthony Frank; sister, Mary (Ray; U.K.); sister-in-law, Margaret (U.K.); close friends, Ann, Greg, Pat, John, and Ena; and many relatives.
Cyril was a great friend, loving husband, dad, granddad, and father-in-law. He will be forever in our hearts and greatly missed by everyone who knew him.
A Memorial Service will be held at a later date.
