William John “Bill” Dancer

1937 – April 29, 2025

Passed away at McNally House Hospice on Tuesday, April 29, 2025, in his 88th year. Beloved husband of Elsa (née Telford) for over 62 years. Loving father of Jeff Dancer (Mary) and Leslie Dancer (Tracy). Cherished grandfather of Matthew (Sara), Jordan (Brooke), and Maddie (Josh), and proud great-grandfather of Jaxon.

Predeceased by several siblings. Brother-in-law to Linda Buchanan (Bill). Bill will also be missed by many nieces, nephews, and dear friends.

Bill retired from the Roads Department with the Town of Grimsby in 1998 after 25 years of dedicated service and also served proudly with the Grimsby Fire Department from 1967–1998. After retirement, Bill and Elsa moved to Muskoka where they enjoyed 15 peaceful and happy years before returning to Grimsby.

Cremation has taken place, with burial at Queen’s Lawn Cemetery.
