CRAWFORD, Dawson Crawford - 1937 - 2022 Crawford, Dawson, age 84, of Ajax, Ontario passed away peacefully at home on Monday June 13th, 2022, and is now in Heaven with his Lord and Savior.
He is survived by his wife Pauline, his children Michael (Caroline), Peter (Joanne), and David, and his grandchildren Alexandra, Emily, and Sarah.
Born and raised in Londonderry, Northern Ireland, Dawson immigrated to Canada in 1956, settling down in Toronto where he met Pauline (née Morrison) in 1958.
They were married in 1961 and lived and worked in Toronto for several years before relocating to Dartmouth, Nova Scotia, in 1968 where all 3 of their sons were born. They moved back to Ontario in 1974, this time settling in Ajax where they have since lived.
Dawson had a lifelong love of music, and was an accomplished pianist and organist. He would often play for Sunday and holiday church services, as well as accompany the choir and vocal soloists.
As the family historian, he had traced the Crawford and Morrison family trees as far back as the 1600s.
During his life he was actively part of the local church, and generously supported missions for several decades.
Arrangements with McEachnie Funeral Home, Pickering Village, ON. Memorial service, at 11:00 am on Thursday June 23rd, 2022 at Ajax Alliance Church, 115 Ritchie Avenue, Ajax, ON, followed by a private burial.
