LOWE, Denis Morton - We are saddened to announce the passing of our beloved Dad, Denis, at age 92 on March 18, 2017 at PRHC.
Dad had a long, successful, happy life. In 1951 he was recruited by CGE and brought to Canada from his birthplace, England as a tool and die maker, retiring after 38 years as a Manufacturing Specialist in Nuclear Products.
He was a lover of all music, an accomplished artist, including painting, pottery, sculpture, and calligraphy to mention a few. He was also a keen amateur photographer, and world traveller. Dad was a kind, gentle, thoughtful soul with an amazing sense of humour. Always a true gentleman. He loved nature and spent as much time as he could skiing, canoeing, fishing, camping and generally spending time outdoors.
Dad was predeceased by the love of his life, Iris (2015). He will be forever missed by his five children Tina Stewart (late Ron), Carole Fullerton, Steve (Karen), Trish Taylor (Richard), and Suzanne Wideman (Daryl). Fun-loving Grandpa to Cameron (Jane) and Pete Stewart, Sky Hayward, Erin (Tara) Fullerton, Alexis (Mylie) Barron, Brie, Reid, and Nicole Taylor and Russell Wideman, as well as eight great-grandchildren. His first great-great-grandson due next week. Dear brother of Vera Primrose and Betty Reid. He leaves us rich with memories.
There will be a Celebration of Denis' Life at HIGHLAND PARK FUNERAL CENTRE, 2510 Bensfort Rd Peterborough on Saturday, March, 25th from 3:30 p.m. - 5:30 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, donations to the VON or Alzheimer Society Peterborough would be appreciated.
