Known for his strong work ethic, Henry enjoyed a life filled with family, gardening, tinkering in his garage, attending his grandchildren’s events, and whizzing around the neighbourhood on his scooter in his later years.
Beloved husband to Mary (née Gillis) for almost 70 years until her passing on March 10, 2024, Henry was a loving father to Corinne (Larry) Austin, Rachelle (Tom) Kaduk, Charlene (Steve) d’Eon-Weis, Wayne (Yukiko), and Alan (Shelly). Cherished Grandpa to Dennis (Sarah) Austin, Breanne (Dylan) Hachey, Kevin Austin, Kiara (Andie Norman) Weis, Kassidy Weis, and Mirai d’Eon, he was also a proud Great Grandpa to Mariline, Henry Austin, Sunny, and Leo Norman.
Henry will be remembered as a quiet, compassionate man who preferred to listen and was respected by all who knew him. His legacy of love and cherished memories will remain in the hearts of his family and friends.
