SWAN, Diarmuid Brendan - Peacefully, at home after a brief illness, in his 93rd year, on October 12, 2023.
He rejoins the love of his life, Eva, who predeceased him in 2007.
Fondly remembered by his children, Maurice, Patrick (Donna), Fox (Craig) and Melanie.
Proud and doting "Granda" to Miranda, Aiden, Brendan, Kaitlin, Christopher and Sophia. Survived by his sister, Kay; and brothers, Maurice and Tony.
He is remembered as well by his many nieces, nephews and extended family. He was predeceased by his parents, Maurice and Kathleen; his brother, James Brendan; and his sister, Angela.
Born in Derry, Ireland, June 25, 1931, he grew up in Dublin and immigrated to Canada in 1955.
Friends will recall his skill on the golf course and squash court, his quick wit, strong voice, and charm.
Family and friends may visit at Newediuk Fueral Home, 2058 Kipling Ave., Toronto, on Tuesday, October 17, 2023, from 6–9 p.m. Funeral Mass at Transfiguration of Our Lord Roman Catholic Church, 45 Ludstone Dr., Toronto, at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, October 18, 2023.
In lieu of flowers, donations to the ALS Society of Canada would be appreciated by the family.
