Zuzana Djarmotsky

Zuzana Djarmotsky passed away peacefully with family by her side on April 12, 2025, at the age of 89. She was reunited with her husband, Ondrej (1991), and her son Marko (2022).

Loving mother of Jarmila Gedelja. Cherished Baba of Daniel Gedelja, Tina Asprakis and husband Fonda, and Talia Djarmotsky. Dear mother-in-law of Mary Djarmotsky. Baba #2 of Theron Asprakis and Mila Asprakis.

Zuzana is survived by her niece Anna Jaso and her family of Edmonton, and Vera Turan and her family of Serbia, Elizabeth and Sam Zila, and Pauline and Tibor Tar and their families in Canada. She was also loved by her neighbours Sandy, Irene, and Susan.

Zuzana will be missed by many family and friends in both Canada and Serbia. In former Yugoslavia, Zuzana and Ondrej owned a butcher shop in Backi Petrovec, where they worked hard for many years before immigrating to Canada in 1974 with their children. She loved spending time with her family and friends, having coffee in the morning, baking, knitting, and gardening.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, April 16, 2025, from 5-8pm. A Funeral Service will be held Thursday, April 17, 2025, at 10am at Families First, 1065 Lauzon Rd., East Windsor. (519) 969-5841. Burial will follow at Windsor Memorial Gardens.
