David Donaldson

David Donaldson passed away peacefully on April 29th, 2025 in Pickering, Ontario. Born on May 15th, 1938 in Scotland, David lived a life marked by dedication to his family, his work, and his community.
He enjoyed a long and respected career with the Toronto Transit Commission (TTC). Family was central to David’s world. He was a devoted father to daughter Julie and her husband Bill. He took great pride in being a grandfather to Sarah (Luke) and Ryan, and found deep joy in his role as great-grandfather to Lilly and Jaxson. His close friend Joan also held a meaningful place in his life, offering companionship and support through the years. He will be truly missed by many friends and family.
David was predeceased by his beloved wife Janette, his sister Anna, and his dear friend Lorraine. Their memories remained close to him throughout his life.
In addition to his family and career, David was an active member of the Pickering Seniors Club, where he forged lasting friendships and remained closely connected to his community.
David’s passing leaves a profound sense of loss among those who knew him. His warmth, kindness, and unwavering devotion will be remembered always. May his memory bring comfort to all who had the privilege of knowing him.
