LETOURNEAU, Doris Elizabeth - The family of Doris Elizabeth Letourneau of Mississauga, Ontario is saddened to announce her passing on Sunday, July 11, 2021, at the age of 87 years.
She will be lovingly remembered by her husband of 63 years, Cliff Letourneau, her daughters Tracey Letourneau (Chris Forsythe), Sheila (and Gary) McKimmie and her grandsons Emmerson and Porter Forsythe, as well as numerous relatives and friends.
Born in Peterborough, Ontario, Doris moved to New Toronto, Ontario to pursue her passion for music as a singer and record shop manager where she met her husband Cliff.
She went on to spend many years working in Dr. Wendell Merrifield's dental office, warmly greeting generations of families before retiring at age 75.
She was well known in her community for her volunteer work within the school system as well as with the municipality. Her efforts always focused on improving children's wellbeing.
Memorial donations may be made in Doris' name to Algonquin Grace Hospice Huntsville, 100 Frank Miller Drive, Huntsville, Ontario, P1H 1H7, or the Mississauga Animal Services, 735 Central Parkway West, Mississauga, Ontario, L5C 4H4, with the SCARF donation form.
The family wishes to send a special thank you to the staff at Algonquin Grace Hospice in Huntsville for their care and compassion.
