LALONDE, Joseph Louis - May 27, 1926 - January 2, 2016
Retired from the Toronto Fire Department after 37 years service, Joseph passed away peacefully on Saturday, January 2nd, 2016 with family by his side at Reachview Village, Uxbridge in his 90th year.
Beloved husband of Hazel for almost 64 years and loving Dad of Delia (Paul), Peggy, Steve (Susan), Ralph (Donna), Larry (Susan), and Allan (Kristine).
Also fondly remembered by his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Service will be held in Port Perry on Sunday, January 10th.
A private graveside service will take place in the spring.

It is with great sadness and loss that we announce the passing of Margaret Anne Noonan (nee Homes) on Saturday, January 2nd, 2016 in her 85th year.
Beloved wife of the late Dennis.
Dear daughter of the late George and Bessie Homes. Loving mother of Lynn O’Brien (Bernie), Michael Noonan (Carol) and Brian Noonan (Rhonda).
Cherished Nana to Julie O’Brien Alty (Richard), Jill O’Brien Dupuis (Andrew), Meaghan O’Brien Spithoff (Daren), Krista Noonan (Andrew Lewington), Jonathan Noonan, Andrew Noonan (Sarah), Kendra McCarroll (Justin) and Breanne Noonan.
Cherished NooNoo to Spencer, Grace, Emily & Nathan Alty, Audrey & Beya Margaret Spithoff, Olivia & Ellie Lewington and Halle & London McCarroll. Dear sister of Ed Homes (Nettie), Josey (Joe) Hood and sister-in-law of Phyllis Noonan, Helen & Don McGarry and Marg & Norm Fry.
Predeceased by her sisters Biddy (Martha) Mepstead (Norm) and Jessie Pearson (Elwood), her parents-in-law William & Julia Noonan, sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law Gertrude & Ivan Taylor, Madeline & Gord Sutherland, Bernice Noonan (sister Magdalena), Ken & Marg Noonan, James Noonan, Arthur Noonan, Neil Hood and Arnold Tripp. Margaret will be sadly missed by her cousins, nieces, nephews, friends and co-workers.
Her illness was sudden. She was spared a long period of suffering.
Marg was acknowledged as a faithful and giving volunteer at Lakeridge Health Oshawa for 33 years, along with numerous other organizations. She received numerous awards and accolades.
A special thank you to Dr. Mike Mitchell-Gill for his many years of care. We all love you very much and you will be forever in our hearts.
Visitation will be held at OSHAWA FUNERAL HOME, 847 King Street West (905-721-1234) on Tuesday, January 5th from 2 – 4 p.m. and 6 – 8 p.m.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Gregory the Great Catholic Church,194 Simcoe St. North, Oshawa on Wednesday, January 6th at 10:00 a.m. Interment: Resurrection Cemetery.

McCOSH, Mary - February 28, 1922 - January 2, 2016
Passed away at home on January 2, 2016 at the age of 93.
Predeceased by her husband Harry ( Oly ).
Loving mother to Marion Desroches (Gary), Ron ( Dawn ) and Gordon ( Linda ).
She will be deeply missed by her grandchildren Lance,_Nikki. Bret, Ryan, Shawn, Jodie, Kristin, and Shayne and great grandchildren; Brolin, Brady, Chanse, Tyler, Lauryn, Emma, Matthew, Sadie, Luke, Erika, Alexis, Heidi, Taylor, Joshua, Megan, Michael and Masen.
Mary will always be remembered as a strong, independent, family oriented woman.
She was also always looking forward in everything she did and driven by her devotion to her family. At Mary’s request, cremation has taken place.
Friends may join the family in celebrating Mary's life at MOUNT LAWN FUNERAL HOME & CEMETERY 21 Garrard Rd, Whitby, 905-443-3376, for Visitation on Friday, January 8, 2016 from 4 - 6 p.m.
Memorial Service at 6 p.m. in the Chapel.
Mary’s ashes will be laid to rest at Erskine Cemetery, Pickering, at a later date.

SLAYER, Jacqueline (Jacky) - March 11, 1945 – January 2, 2016
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Jacky at Lakeridge Health Oshawa in the presence of her loving husband, Gary, and daughters, Laura and Arlene at the age of 70 years.
Dearly loved wife of Gary for 49 years.
Much loved mom of Laura Bradshaw and Arlene Radley and their husbands David and Nigel.
Adored gramma of Ben and Emma.
Predeceased by her father, John Gavigan and mother, Betty Stewart.
Jacky was the loving sister of Fran, Michael, Leo, Anne, Kathleen and Patrick.
She will be missed by her faithful dog, Lizzy. Jacky will be remembered for her devotion to family, love of travel and her hobbies – knitting, puzzles and gardening. She will be missed by all who were touched by her. We are proud that Jacky was able to donate her eyes so others could see.
The Slayer family wishes to extend their sincere appreciation to the caring and compassionate nursing staff and doctors of the Supportive Care Unit at Lakeridge Health Oshawa for taking such great care of Jacky and her family during her stay – Words cannot express….
In accordance with Jacky’s wishes, cremation has already taken place and a Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
We would like to give thanks to all of the family and many friends and neighbours who have supported Jacky during these last few weeks of her life.

McCARTHY, Leona (nee Chandelier) - passed away peacefully at Lakeridge Health, Port Perry in her 76th year on January 2, 2016.
She will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by her three children, Cheryl, Michael, Karen and son-in-laws, Bob and Gary.
She will be missed by her six grandchildren, Kevin, Jennifer, Matthew, Ryan, Brandon and Spencer. She will be missed by her niece Darlene Kelley and family.
