KEARNEY, Patricia  -  Peacefully on Monday, December 28, 2015 at the Orchard Villa Nursing Home in Pickering with family at her side, at age 91.

Patricia (nee Blacklock), beloved wife of the late Bruce Kearney of Uxbridge.

Loved mother of Colleen Kearney and her partner Doreen of Toronto, Karen and her husband John Cooper of Uxbridge, and Rod Kearney (Tracy) of Myrtle Station.

Loved grandmother of Erik (Takhmina), Claire, Brent, Lee (Jennifer), Jeff (Madison), Christine (James Peter), Brock and Jack-Lina and great grandmother of Hazel.

Predeceased by her sisters Marie McAfee and Jane Godwin.

Dear sister-in-law of Joyce Kearney of Toronto and Eric Kearney and his wife Marjorie of Edmonton. She will be missed by her many nieces and nephews.

Service will be held in Port Perry,on Saturday, January 2nd.

HORNBY, Ilis  - In loving memory of Ilis Hornby.

Born May 30, 1948 in Nelson, England. Passed away on December 28th, 2015 at Lakeridge Health Bowmanville Hospital in her 67th year.

Loving wife of the late Keith Hornby for 42 years.

Survived by her mother Helen Warren, brother James (Monica) and extended family.

Loving mother of Andrea and Keana. Cherished grandma of Richard (Angela), Justin (Barbie), Kassandra, and Johnathon. She will be fondly remembered by many family and friends.

A memorial service was held at ARMSTRONG FUNERAL HOME(124 King Street East Oshawa) and Ilis was laid to rest at Thornton Cemetery in Oshawa. Thank you to Rev. Sharon Melvin for a beautiful service.

With the love, support and prayers of family, friends and community, Andy was able to meet his Lord and Saviour peacefully at his home, on Monday December 28, 2015,
with his family by his side, at the age of 83.

Cherished husband of Ada (nee Vos) for 60 years.

Loving and playful grandpa to 15 grandchildren and “gg pa” to 19 great grandchildren.

Dear brother of Gail, Harm, Betty, Walter, Harry, Bert and predeceased by his brother Arnold. Faithful friend to many.

Andy devoted tireless energy and service to his family, church, community and anyone who crossed his path. Andy will be remembered and missed by many.

Our sincere thanks to Dr. Hoy, Dr. Irish, Dr. Bharucha, Nurse Barb and the palliative care team.

Visitation will be held at NORTHCUTT ELLIOTT FUNERAL HOME, 53 Division Street, Bowmanville on Wednesday December 30th from 1 – 3 pm and 6 – 8 pm.

A Funeral Service will be held at REHOBOTH CHRISTIAN REFORMED CHURCH, Bowmanville on Thursday December 31st at 1 pm. Interment Bowmanville Cemetery.

Wife of the late William “Bill” Lloyd Call.

Mother of Lynda Audrey Farrow and her husband Glen, Keith Arthur Call and his wife Deborah, Joan Violet Jorgensen and her husband John and Kenneth Corey Call (predeceased) and his wife Marilyn. Leaves 9 grandchildren and several great grandchildren.

Predeceased by her her sister Gladys Downs.

1st Brownie leader in Newcastle. Retired from 20 years of service at Newcastle Post Office. Avid bowler for many years with Newcastle Seniors League. Community care driver for 10 years and loved to travel.

A funeral service will be held at St. George’s Anglican Church, 250 Mill St S, Newcastle on Monday, January 4, 2016 at 11am. Cremation will take place with interment at a later date.

A special thanks to the Doctors and nurses of the 5th floor surgical ward at Peterborough Regional Health Centre and the staff at Birch House of Extendicare Cobourg.

Grandmother of 13 grandchildren, and many great and great- great- grandchildren.

Survived by brothers Seymour and Merton Baker, and is predeceased by many family members.

Phinn JohnPHINN, John 'Jack'It is with great sadness in our hearts that the family of John Alexander Phinn announces his passing on December 27, 2015 at the age of 88 years.

Jack passed away peacefully in the Supportive Care Unit at Lakeridge Hospital in Oshawa.

He was the beloved husband of Jean (nee Blackmore) for over 62 wonderful years.

Dear father of David (Dawna) and predeceased earlier this year by loving daughter Debra.

Adoring grandfather to Michael (Liz), Daryl, Daniel and Nicole. Proud great-grandfather of Ava and Aiden.

Jack was born in Hamilton, Ont. and moved with his family to Oshawa in 1964. He had a successful career in Banking and Finance, eventually retiring from an executive position with Mackenzie Financial in Toronto.

During these years Jack and Jean enjoyed numerous wonderful trips with their many friends and continued to cherish those memories together throughout their senior years.

Jack loved watching any and all sporting events and often had several TVs going so he and Jean wouldn’t miss their favorites even when playing at the same time. He was a lifelong fan of the Hamilton Tiger Cats and would rarely miss a game of his favorite Toronto Maple Leafs.

Jack will be dearly missed by his family and friends. We would like to send heartfelt thanks to the caring and compassionate professionals at Community Care for their support over the past year.

We will honour Jack’s wishes and forego funeral services.

In lieu of flowers, donations to the Lakeridge Hospital will be gratefully accepted.

The Celebration of Life Service will be held at Hebron Christian Reformed Church, 4240 Anderson Street, Whitby (905-655-5020) on Wednesday Dec 30,2015 at 10:30am.

Interment will follow the service at  GROVESIDE CEMETERY, 5155 Baldwin St S, Whitby.

All are welcome to join us for a luncheon at Hebron.
