CHAMPAGNE, Barbara - (May 18, 1938 - December 2, 2015)
It is with the deepest sadness that we announce the passing of Barbara Mary Champagne.
Brave and beautiful to the end, she passed away peacefully at her home in Ajax on Wednesday, December 2, 2015, surrounded by her loving family at age 77.
Beloved wife of Paul, loving mother of Tom and his wife Karen, and Darlene and her husband Ruben DeFrance.
Cherished “Nan” of Heath, and Nicole, and “GG Ma” of Tyler, Xavier, Chelsea, Kaylea, and Dianne.
Dear sister of Claire Reeves of South Carolina, US.

DUCHARME, Lisa Ann - We are deeply saddened to announce the passing of our daughter Lisa, after a long battle with brain cancer, on Wednesday, December 2, 2015 at Lakeridge Health Oshawa.
Lisa Anne Ducharme of Courtice is the cherished daughter of Susan and Robert Ducharme and loving sister of David (Erin).
She will be lovingly remembered by her grandfather Gerry Therrien, her aunts, uncles and cousins in the Windsor area, and by her longtime close girlfriends and her friends, colleagues and students at Seneca Trail Public School.
The family of Lisa Ann Ducharme will receive family and friends at the DESTEFANO FUNERAL HOME, 1289 Keith Ross Drive, Oshawa (south side of Taunton Road, east of Thornton Road by the Oshawa Airport) 905-440-3595 on Saturday, December 5th from 4:00-8:00pm and on Sunday, December 6th from 1:00-5:00pm.
A service to celebrate Lisa’s life will be held in the DeStefano Chapel on Monday, December 7th at 10:00am. Interment will follow at Oshawa Union Cemetery.

KIRKCONNELL, Marjorie (née Smith) - At the age of 91, Marjorie left us for eternity on Wednesday, December 2, 2015.
She said that to her, eternity is "where the ocean meets the sky" so whenever we look at that horizon we’ll remember her.
Born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, Marjorie came to Canada in the 1940’s to study at McMaster University in Hamilton where she obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree in English Literature and met her husband James Walter Kirkconnell (deceased 2001) when they both were acting in a production of ‘The Barretts of Wimpole Street’.
Books and literature and the arts were lifelong interests. Marjorie wrote short stories, taught evening courses in Canadian literature, and worked at the Oshawa Library.
She was an active member of the University Women’s Club, the Durham Council for the Arts, and Oshawa Friends of the Library, and was a recipient of the Durham Region YWCA Woman of Distinction Award for Arts and Culture.
Dearly missed by daughters Holly (Eduardo) and Heather (Peter), grandchildren Summer and Daniel, and friends and relatives in Canada and the United States.
Heartfelt thanks to the wonderful staff at Hillsdale Estates who cared so well for Marjorie from 2003 until the end. Thanks also to her loyal friend Jeanette Haywood and to the members of Kingsview United Church who visited regularly.
According to Marjorie’s wishes, friends and family are invited to share memories at a reception at McINTOSH-ANDERSON-KELLAM FUNERAL HOME LTD., 152 King St. East, Oshawa (905-433-5558) on Saturday, December 12th from 2:00 to 4:00 pm. Private burial.

CORBY, Louisa Margaret (nee Stark) - (November 30, 1952 - December 2, 2015)
Passed away peacefully at Lakeridge Health Oshawa with her family by her side on Wednesday, December 2nd, 2015 at the age of 63 after a courageous 11-month battle with cancer.
Beloved wife of Larry for over 35 years.
Devoted mother of Adam and Cheryl (Rich Rossi).
Treasured sister of John Newey (Carol).
She was a cherished "Aunt Louisa" to many nieces and nephews. Louisa will be forever adored by many close friends and loved ones.
Louisa had a most fulfilling career as a dedicated teacher for over 30 wonderful years with the Durham District School Board.
A special thanks to the Nurses and Doctors from 8G, 4F and the Cancer Centre at Lakeridge Health Oshawa for their dedication and support.

TRACEY, Edward 'Ted'/'Ed' Roe - (July 26, 1949 - December 2, 2015)
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the peaceful passing of Ted after a courageous battle with cancer.
He was the cherished husband and soul mate of Sandy for over 45 years.
Proud and devoted Pops to Matthew (Jessie) and Scott (Cathy). Loving grandpa to all his grandchildren and great- grandchildren.
Adored son-in-law of Vivian. Special loving brother to Gloria. Beloved best friend to Ed and Donna.
Ted loved life and will be sadly missed in death. He touched many lives.

SMITH, Patricia - (March 11, 1947 - December 1, 2015)
Peacefully, surrounded by family and friends after a brief battle with cancer in her 69th year on Tuesday, December 1, 2015.
Beloved wife of the late Eric Smith, mother to April and Deric and Nana to Deryn, Hazen and Macy. Predeceased by her mother Myrtle Magee.
Survived by her father Leslie Magee and sister Barbara Tozer.
A long time Girl Guide leader in Oshawa, Patricia was loved by many in the community and was like a second mother to many children in the neighbourhood.
An outpouring of support from near and far all proclaimed the same thing... Patricia is loved because she had touched so many people's lives in a positive way.
A special thank you to the Lynde, Munroe and Weibe families for their constant support over the years and especially over the last 6 weeks.
The family also wants to extend its gratitude to the amazing Supportive Care Team at Lakeridge Health Oshawa. Dr Devost, Dr Gno, Dr Graham and all the compassionate nursing staff.

WALKER, John 'Johnnie' - August 26, 1954 - December 1, 2015
It is with great sadness that our family announces the very sudden yet peaceful passing of John in his home in Pickering on December 1st, 2015.
Beloved husband of Helen.
Loving father to Iain (Sarah) and adored brother of Irene (Joe), Jim (Maggie), Ann (John), Andrew (Malia), Mag (Gavin), Tom (Mel), Gordon (Una), Lorraine (Peter), David (Debbie) and their families in Scotland, England and Australia.
He was a wonderful son-in-law to Susan Cunningham and outstanding in-law to the Noiles' family of Australia and England and the Oliver family of Nova Scotia, as well as his extended family on the Cunningham side.
He will be missed by his close friends, and in particular by his best buddies Jimmy Blair and Dave Barnes.
He loved his life of soccer, golf, wine tasting and traveling.
Our family would like to give special thanks to the Pickering Police, Fire and EMS services for their compassionate assistance.
Also, thanks is not enough for the outpouring of assistance by our friends and neighbours, in particular Gord and Mairi Dow.
In accordance with John's wishes, there will be no formal service.
