Smith PatriciaSMITH, Patricia - (March 11, 1947 - December 1, 2015)

Peacefully, surrounded by family and friends after a brief battle with cancer in her 69th year on Tuesday, December 1, 2015.

Beloved wife of the late Eric Smith, mother to April and Deric and Nana to Deryn, Hazen and Macy. Predeceased by her mother Myrtle Magee.

Survived by her father Leslie Magee and sister Barbara Tozer.
A long time Girl Guide leader in Oshawa, Patricia was loved by many in the community and was like a second mother to many children in the neighbourhood.

An outpouring of support from near and far all proclaimed the same thing... Patricia is loved because she had touched so many people's lives in a positive way.

A special thank you to the Lynde, Munroe and Weibe families for their constant support over the years and especially over the last 6 weeks.

The family also wants to extend its gratitude to the amazing Supportive Care Team at Lakeridge Health Oshawa. Dr Devost, Dr Gno, Dr Graham and all the compassionate nursing staff.

Friends and relatives may call at the MOUNT LAWN FUNERAL HOME & CEMETERY, 21 Garrard Rd., Whitby (N of Hwy 2), 905-443-3376, on Friday, December 4th from 6 - 9 pm.

In accordance with Patricia's wishes there will be no funeral service. Cremation.

In lieu of flowers, donations to the Lakeridge Health Foundation SUPPORTIVE CARE UNIT www.lakeridgehealthfoundation.com would be appreciated by the family.

Passed away peacefully at Peterborough Regional Health Centre on Tuesday, December 1, 2015 in his 90th year.

Frank, loving father of Diane Piper, Don Piper, Gail Carswell, Bonnie Piper, Cindy Wilson (Al), Debbie Innes (Jeff) and the late Penny Thebeau.

Lovingly remembered by his friend Joan, his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Dear brother of C.N. Joe Piper and the late Dorothy Mercer, Les Piper and Connie Carter.

Sadly missed by his nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends.

Funeral Service will be held in Bowmanville on Wednesday, December 9th.

Peacefully in her sleep, Tecla's suffering ended and she passed away on the morning of Monday, November 30, 2015.

After coming to Canada from Italy, Tecla was a longtime resident of both Toronto and Manotick, Ontario.

A celebration of Tecla's life will be held on Saturday, December 19, 2015 from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon at the McEACHNIE FUNERAL HOME - Family Centre - 208 Old Kingston Road, Pickering Village, Ajax, Ontario.

passed away at her residence peacefully after a courageous battle surrounded by her family on Sunday November 29th, 2015 at the age of 79 years.

Una, loving mother of Susan (the late Rick) Maeder and Alison (Scott) Cordier.

Cherished grandmother of Olivia, Nicholas, Andrew, Maggie and James.

Dear sister of Linda (Jim) Wagner and loving aunt to their children David (Allison), Andrew, Jamie, the late Michael and her great nieces and nephews.

Predeceased by brother Ian Sym. Will be missed by sister-in-law Lorraine (John) Grey and her nieces and their families. Deeply missed by all of her family in Scotland and Australia, and all her wonderful friends, caring neighbours and dear colleagues at Olympia.

The family would like to express its deep gratitude for the amazing support and care Una received from the team at St. Elizabeth, Dr. Alexandra Szabla, Sondra, Julie, Lisa, Lillia, Courtney and the entire team at CCAC for all they did for Una.

In addition the family would like thank the supportive team at Rouge Valley Centenary Scarborough.
