It is with great sadness the family announces the passing of Nora Marguerite Staples of Pickering at age 93, on November 29, 2015.
Predeceased by her loving husband of 65 years, Sterling L. Staples.
Dearly beloved mother of Dianne and her husband Wayne Paradis of Lancaster, MA and the late Lynn Fox of Toronto. Dear sister of Donald Blandford and his wife Fran of Newmarket.
Proud grandmother of Robert Hart of Richmond Hill, Jennifer Hart-Marles of Toronto, Michael Paradis of Lancaster, MA and Jessica (Paradis) Strade of Sterling, MA. Loving and adored great-grandmother of Beth Hart, Aislynn and Joseph Paradis, Noah and Maya Marles and Madilynn and Jackson Strade.
Nora retired after being employed at CIBC and Warden Avenue Public School.
She enjoyed many years in retirement with her husband Sterling, travelling to many destinations in Europe, North America and the Caribbean. Nora and Sterling relished the time spent at their cottage on Shadow Lake and good times shared with their children, grandchildren, family and friends.
The family wishes to express appreciation to Tammy, Sharon and Sue of HomeWell Senior Care, Ajax and the many dedicated and caring staff members at VIVA Retirement Home in Pickering for their kind support to Nora and her family.

SINCLAIR, Allan Douglas - 1943-2015 Sadly, on November 28th 2015, after a courageous battle with cancer, Doug passed away peacefully with his daughter by his side at Lakeridge Health Oshawa.
Doug was predeceased by his father Arthur Sinclair and is survived by his mother Hildred Sinclair.
He will be dearly missed by his son Jason, his daughter Dana, and her husband Paul(Turner).
His three granddaughters Jillian, Cassidy, and Sierra and his great granddaughter Cara loved him dearly and will always cherish him.
Doug also leaves behind his sister Ann Sinclair and his nephew Adam McNeill.
Doug was a successful lifelong car/boat mechanic, he was able to fix anything that could move or had a motor in it.
He loved hunting, fishing, gardening and was well known amongst friends and family for his awesome cooking and barbequing skills.
Doug’s family sends heartfelt thanks to the staff in the Cancer unit, and the Palliative care unit at Lakeridge Health Oshawa for their kindness and respect.
His family would also like to extend their gratitude to his friends for their continued support and visits during his battle.
At Doug’s request there will be a cremation but no formal service will be held.
Memorial donations may be made to The Canadian Cancer Society.

passed away at Lakeridge Health Bowmanville on Friday November 27th, 2015 at the age of 64 years.
Ralph, beloved husband of Lynda.
