CARRIER, Denis Frederick - Passed peacefully at his home with his family by his side on Sunday October 25th, 2015 at the young age of 58.
Survived by his wife and best friend Jill Carrier of Oshawa. Much loved Dad of Ryan Carrier and Diana of Waterdown, David Carrier of Waterdown, Tyler Davidson, Curtis Davidson and Max Davidson all of Oshawa, along with their puppy Teddy. All brought so much joy to his life.
Pre-deceased by his parents Alcide and Beatrice Carrier and fondly remembered by his parents-in-law Wayne and Marianne Rounding.
Loving brother and best friend of Joanne Carrier and Fred Carrier and his wife Cathy all of Lively ON and brother-in-law of Rex Rounding and his wife Rebekka of Bowmanville.
Den was such a proud Uncle of his many nieces and nephews and their families.
Forever a friend to Luanne Carrier.
He was loved by so many friends and relatives and he enjoyed being part of all of their lives.
Den grew up in Lively, Ontario but his favorite place was the family camp on the French River. He always loved his family and friends around him and especially at their Villa on the French.
Den loved to keep busy and he had many hobbies and interests. He played hockey for the Lively Hawks, loved boating, scuba diving and golfing to name a few. Fall was his favorite time of year as he was always so excited for the hunt. Den was a successful and a very generous business man whose passion for Nephrology touched many patients and health professionals for over 30 years. There are too many lives that Denis touched to mention.
This man was passionate and full of life. This man loved. This man was loved.
He will be missed by so many and would want you to celebrate his life and raise a glass for him.
Visitation at BARNES MEMORIAL FUNERAL HOME, 5295 Thickson Rd. N. Whitby from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Thursday (October 29th). A service to celebrate Denis’ life will be held in the Barnes Chapel Friday afternoon at 1:00 p.m.

Marie would not want any of us to shed more than a couple of tears for she lived her life her way.
When she couldn’t do what she wanted to do any longer, she still did what she wanted and passed away on her own terms at Lakeridge Health with the love of her family by her side.

Peacefully, with her family by her side, at Lakeridge Health Oshawa, on Sunday, October 25, 2015, at the age of 84 years.
Laura (nee Eagleson), mother of Barry (Thelma) Hazelden, Doreen (Duncan) Tillson, Diana (Ron) Brown, and Wayne (Susan) Hazelden.

She now joins her cherished husband Sidney.

Surrounded by her family, Helen passed away peacefully at the Fosterbrooke Nursing Home on Saturday, October 24, 2015 in Newcastle, ON. in her 87th year.
Survived by her children Jeff Denton of Toronto and Jill Lyttle of Newcastle.
Predeceased by her husband Robert Broddy and her son Jann Denton.
Lovingly remembered by her brother Patrick and her nieces, nephews and her grandchildren Christopher, and Michelle.
Helen was a long time member of Sweet Adelines and thoroughly enjoyed her work and friends at the Madoc Thrift Shop.
Helen was passionate about the mission of the Canadian Cancer Society and The Habitat for Humanity.
Special thanks to the care giving staff at Fosterbrooke and Dr. Brenna Ammons for all their support. Helen will be lovingly remembered by all her family and friends especially Lori, Sylvia, Betty, and Carol.

We lost our best friend today on Sunday, October 24th, 2015, in his 65th year.
Beloved husband to Cathy for 40 years.

CHAPMAN, Christopher, CM, RCA, LL.D (hon) -
January 24, 1927 - October 24, 2015
Christopher passed away peacefully at ReachView Village long-term care facility in Uxbridge, with his devoted wife of 44 years, Barbara-Glen (nee: Kennedy), and family members at his side.
He is survived by his son Brig.-Gen (ret.) Julian Chapman (Wendy), his twin brother Francis (Penny), and four grandchildren: Christopher, Amelia, Robert and Alastair.
Christopher was predeceased by his first wife Aljean Pert, and by siblings Philippa, Howard, Robert and Sally.
He will be missed by his nieces and nephews.
Christopher was born in Toronto, the day after his twin, Francis (they were born either side of midnight), the son of distinguished Toronto architect Alfred Chapman and concert pianist Doris Chapman. He spent a year in England in the 1950s designing cars for the Ford Motor Company before returning to Canada and turning to making films.
As a filmmaker he won many awards including an Academy Award (Oscar), and an Etrog, the Canadian equivalent of the Oscar. Christopher was a writer, director, editor and cinematographer whose early films focused on nature and the environment. His first film, The Seasons, funded by Imperial Oil, won the Canadian Film of the Year in 1954.
Following cremation, a private funeral service was held. Visitation will be at the Low & Low Funeral Home, 23 Main Street South, Uxbridge, on Thursday, October 29th from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. A celebration of Christopher's life will be held in Uxbridge at Wooden Sticks Golf Club, Sunday, November 15, 2015 from 2-4 p.m.
