JORDAN, Charlotte Ruth Jordan

Jordon CharlotteJORDAN, Charlotte Ruth  -  Passed away on April 19, 2024, at Lakeridge Health, Bowmanville.

Charlotte, in her 83rd year, was predeceased by her husband Gilbert Jordan (2021) and Douglas Campbell (1990).

Beloved mother of Andrew Campbell (Lisa Rankine) and Wendy Serné (Ken)

Loved grandmother of Ethan, Kyle, Julia, Amelia and Mackenzie.

Survived by her sister Meredith Keddy.

Predeceased by her sisters Muriel, Patricia, Donna, and Jo.

Lovingly remembered by many family and friends.

Charlotte was the fifth of six sisters. She was the first and only to attend Mount Saint Vincent University on a full scholarship.

She attended university in the mid to late 50s when there were not many women taking Sciences, and she graduated with an Honours Bachelor of Science.

She worked various jobs before having two children, Andrew and Wendy.

While raising her children, Charlotte found the time to take ceramics, be a Cub Scout leader, bowl weekly, sing in St. Joseph's Church choir, and play Monday night bridge with her friends.

Not counting her stint as a street crossing guard at the school her children attended (which she surely did to keep an eye on them), she found her calling teaching math, chemistry, biology and physics at a Durham College.

She was an avid Toronto Blue Jays fan.

Visitation will be held on Thursday April 25 from 6pm to 8pm at ARMSTRONG FUNERAL HOME, 124 King Street East, Oshawa followed by a Funeral Service in the Chapel on Friday April 26th at 1pm.

Interment to follow at MOUNT LAWN CEMETERY.
