WALKER, Earle Frederick - It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Earle Walker on September 2, 2023, after a long courageous battle with cancer.
Earle was born July 17, 1931, in Montreal, Quebec.
He was the oldest of two siblings.
He graduated from Westhills High School and after graduation, he went to work for Dominion Securities and then was Vice-President of RBC Dominion Securities until his retirement.
That is where he met the love of his life, Eileen, and they were married in November 1971. Shortly after that, he transferred from Montreal to Toronto where they resided until his passing. Earle was predeceased by his parents, Frederick and Gladys; and his wife, Eileen.
He is survived by his sister, Zelma (the late Leslie Forrest), who he was not only a brother but also became a father figure to after their father's passing in 1949; and nephew, Earle Forrest.
He is also survived by his nieces, Leslie Ann Reber (Norman) and Donna Bartelen (Mike); their children and grandchildren. Earle was a very soft-spoken, generous and kind man, with quite a sense of humour.
He loved to bowl and golf, and was an avid sports fan. He will be dearly missed by all who knew him.
A private family service will be held. In lieu of flowers, a donation can be made to the Charity of Your Choice in his memory.
