Verna Mabel Ebel

January 4, 1927 – November 28, 2024

Verna Mabel Ebel passed away peacefully at Hillside Manor on November 28, 2024, at the age of 97, with her daughter Terry by her side. Born in Stratford, Ontario, to parents August Schultz and Edna Becker, Verna was the last surviving member of her siblings, Pearl Forbes, Dorothy Holt, Alvin Schultz, and Charles Schultz.

Verna was predeceased by her husband Roy in 1979, her partner Alfred Brown in 1979, her daughter Sandra Schippling in 2019, and her sons-in-law Barry Schippling and Gerald Lantz in 2015. She leaves behind her beloved daughter Terry, grandsons Chad Lantz, Jason Lantz, Cory Petrie, and Paul Petrie, as well as seven cherished great-grandchildren. Verna will forever hold a special place in the hearts of her family.

At Verna’s request, a private family interment will take place, and there will be no formal funeral or visitation. Donations in her memory may be made to the Alzheimer Society or a charity of your choice.

The family extends their heartfelt gratitude to the wonderful staff at Hillside Manor for their exceptional care and kindness shown to Verna during her time there.
