Nancy Jean Eden

With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Nancy Jean Eden, aged 87, who passed away peacefully on November 17, 2024, at Lakeridge Health Ajax. Nancy was the beloved wife of the late Earl Eden, with whom she shared 57 devoted years.

Nancy was a dedicated mother to Karen (Jos) Reijnen and is predeceased by her cherished children, Brenda (Kevin) Gallogley and Larry Eden. She was the proud grandmother of Crystal, Michael (Shayna), Jeffery (Sheri), Matthew (Jessica), Katrina, James, and Kyle, and a loving great-grandmother to Katrina, William, Isabella, Piper, Orion, Jacob, Jade, Scarlett, and Lucy.

Nancy’s dedication to her career as a member of the nursing staff at Bendale Acres touched countless lives. Her compassion, combined with her love for cinema, knitting, and her enthusiastic support for the Toronto Raptors and Toronto Blue Jays, will forever be remembered.

The family extends their heartfelt gratitude to Christine, Henry, and their family for their unwavering love and support, and to the staff at Lakeridge Gardens for their compassionate care.

A service to honor Nancy’s life will be held at De Stefano Funeral Home, 1289 Keith Ross Drive, Oshawa, Ontario L1J 0C7, on Thursday, November 21st, 2024. Visitation will take place from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM, followed by the funeral service at 1:00 PM. Cremation will follow.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to SickKids Hospital: Children’s Burn Unit in Nancy’s memory. Details for online donations will be available on November 20, 2024.

Nancy will be deeply missed but fondly remembered for her kindness, strength, and the love she shared. Her legacy lives on in the cherished memories she created with her family and friends.
