January 14, 1929 - July 19, 2024
Passed away surrounded by her family on Friday, July 19, 2024 at Lakeridge Health Hospital in Oshawa at the age of 95.
Beloved wife of the late Edward Brown, who passed away in 1982 after 35 years together, and the late Vernon Edwards, who passed away in 2018 after 30 years together.
She is survived by her children Sharon LePage (Don), Debbie Storms (Bill), Ted Brown (Donna), Rick Brown (Lynn) and her step sons Bruce (Heather), Doug (Annie) and Keith (Joyce).
Loved and Proud grandma of Kristen Carr, Dawn Brant (Justin), Paula RennieLegg (Chris), Melanie Capson (Jim), Leanne Cappuccitti (Joe), Chris Brown (Krista), Adam Brown (Normaine) and Ashton Brown (Lindsey).
Step grandma of Lindsay Edwards (Geoff), Meredith Edwards (Patrick), Rachel Edwards (Stuart), Mike Edwards (Erica), Terri Sim (Ray), Robyn Edwards (Leif), Jody VanBeurden (Mike), Susan O’Connor (Blair) and Lynn Baynton (Dave).
Loving great-grandma to many great-grandchildren. The family would like to thank all the nurses on the 5th floor, C Wing, for their compassion and amazing care.
Mona’s Catholic faith was devout, giving her an endless capacity to love and always be there for her family. She will truly be missed.
A visitation will be held on Thursday, July 25th, 2024, at MOUNT LAWN FUNERAL HOME, 21 Garrard Road in Whitby, ON, from 5:00p.m to 8:00p.m. and on Friday, July 26th, 2024, from 1:00p.m to 2:00p.m, followed by a service in the Mount Lawn Chapel at 2:00p.m.
She will be laid to rest at MOUNT LAWN CEMETERY after the service.
In lieu of flowers, donations in her name to The Canadian Orthopaedic Foundation or Canadian Cancer Society would be greatly appreciated.
