BOYD, Elizabeth (Betty) Lorraine (nee MOKEDANZ) - Passed away peacefully on November 28, 2023 at Orchard Villa in her 94th year.
Betty is survived by her 3 children, Brian (Ida), Joanne (Michael), Leonard (Carrie), and grandchildren, Matthew, Erin, Thomas, Bradley, Jeffrey, Peter, Olivia, and Adam.
Betty was predeceased by her husband, Thomas (Tom) of 51 years, her son Bruce, and siblings Edward (Ted), Beatrice, Arthur, Evelyn, Audrey, Ruth, and Kenneth. Betty was a devout Roman Catholic and will always be remembered for her dedication and passion in volunteering and spreading kindness.
She dedicated countless hours to the CNIB and Scarborough General Hospital. In addition to her charitable endeavours, Betty enjoyed bowling, quilting, and playing cards. She was once an active member of the West Scarborough Seniors Club and the Red Hat Society. We take comfort in knowing that Betty is now square dancing with Tom in Heaven, enjoying the everlasting joy and love they once shared on Earth.
A visitation will be held at the Paul O'Connor Funeral Home, 1939 Lawrence Ave. E. from 1:00 to 4:00 p.m. on Sunday, December 3, 2023. A Funeral Mass will be held on Monday, December 4, 2023 at 11:00 a.m. in St. Boniface Catholic Church, 21 Markanna Dr. (Markham south of Eglinton).
In lieu of flowers, the family asks you to consider a donation in Betty's memory to the Alzheimer Society.
