Diane Lynne Ellis
1949 – November 3, 2024
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Diane Lynne Ellis on November 3, 2024, at the age of 75, after a courageous battle with lung cancer. Diane was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and friend. She will be forever cherished by her family and all who had the pleasure of knowing her.
Diane is survived by her children: Lori (Roy), Paul (Sara), Donald (Tracey), and Wesley (Regina); her beloved grandchildren: Tristan, Grace (Austin), Josh (Kenzie), Danielle, Ethan, Isabel, Jesse, Logan, and Wyatt; and her great-grandchildren, Elijah and Brooks. She is also remembered by her siblings Sharyn, Beverly, Eleanor, Debby, Dennis, Art, and Roy, along with many nieces, nephews, and extended family members. Diane is predeceased by her life partner, Fred Nash, her parents, Doris and Roy, and her siblings Shirley, Bob, Doug, and Dave.
A woman of quiet strength, kindness, and unwavering love for her family, Diane’s presence leaves a profound void in the hearts of those who knew her. Her legacy of love will live on in the cherished memories she leaves behind.
In accordance with Diane’s wishes, cremation has taken place, and a private family service will be held. The family extends their deepest gratitude to Dr. Fenn, Dr. Sandhu, Dr. Gleba, and the many nurses, personal support workers, and volunteers who provided exceptional care during Diane’s final months.
As expressions of sympathy, donations to Chapman House Grey Bruce Hospice in Diane’s honor would be greatly appreciated. Arrangements are entrusted to Grey Bruce Cremation and Burial Services.
Rest in peace, Mom. You will be dearly missed and forever remembered.
