LIDSTONE, Ellis Ralph - (February 26, 1938 – February 3, 2018) -
Suddenly at the NHS, St. Catharines site, on Saturday February 3rd, 2018, approximately 3 weeks shy of his 80th birthday, Ellis left us after a short bout with pneumonia.
He was surrounded by his loving wife Phyllis of 57 years and his family; Sandy Tymofie (Dean); Anthony (Joann); Ken (Kris); Les (Kim).
Ellis was predeceased by his parents Arthur and Minnie of PEI and siblings Wilfred, Carmen and David. He is survived by his brother Carl, and his sister-in-law Rosemary (David).
Ellis was blessed with 11 grandchildren; Dan, Trevor, Jacob, Iain, Nicholas, Lauren, Lierin, Megan, Gage, Kennedy, Brett and 2 great grandchildren; Chase and Jaxxin. He will also be missed by his extended family and many friends.
Ellis worked for Robert’s Rental for 31 years and held various trucking positions, finishing his career working for Murray Winsor of Hydro Metal Recycling for 15 years.
Arrangements entrusted to Haine funeral home, 26 Ormond Street S., Thorold. Cremation has taken place. The family invites you to a memorial service on Thursday, February 8th at 2:00 Westminster United Church, 180 Queenston Street, St. Catharines.
