WOODSIDE, Peter Kenneth - Peter passed away peacefully on Saturday, June 1st at Lakeridge Health in Oshawa.
He is survived by his wife, Doreen, of almost 69 years.
He was the much loved father to Jeri (Dan), and Richard (Ann).
He was especially proud of and loved by his grandchildren Chris (Bec), Lindsay ( Tim), Alex (Paige), Mackenzie and Logan.
He was so proud to be a Great Papa to Isaac, Seth, Elias and Harrison. The family will hold a celebration of life at a later date.

Mum passed away on Saturday June 1st 2024 at the age of 90.
She is pre-deceased by her husband Garnet (2017).
Much loved Mum of Lucy White, Dan White and his wife Wendy, and Judy White.
Cherished Grandmother of Grace, Samantha (Bobby), Amanda (Jarrett), Garnet and James. Great Grandmother of Alexis, Avery, Asher, and Zander.
Ruth will be remembered as a loving sister, sister-in-law, aunt, and friend.
Ruth was born in King City one of seven daughters of Mervyn and Lucy Wilson. She met her best friend and husband Garnet White in 1950 at a dance at Musselman’s Lake, which culminated in a life long and loving marriage of 62 years. Ruth worked for the City of Ajax for many years and volunteered in the community.
She was an avid bridge player, gardener, and reader, and a cutthroat scrabble player. She was happiest at the cottage with her family and especially cherished time with her grandchildren. A lover of Jeopardy, salt, and weak tea, she will be dearly missed.
A Celebration of Life Reception will be held at BARNES MEMORIAL FUNERAL HOME, 5295 Thickson Rd. N. on Thursday June 6th from 1:00 til 3:00 pm. Remembrances will be shared at 2:30 pm.
A Private family interment will follow.

Kai passed away suddenly at home on May 31st, 2024, aged 83.
Beloved husband, father and friend who will be missed by all who knew him.
Born in Canton, China in 1940, Kai emigrated to Canada with his grandmother and uncle in 1949.
After completing school in Toronto he worked in the insurance industry for many years where he was known for his hard work, dedication and passion for helping others
Kai was preceded in death by his wife of 47 years, Cheryll (2014).
Kai is survived by his two sons, Kyle (Lisa) and Perry (Nicole).
Fondly remembered by his siblings Sam (Lisa), Jan (deceased 2020)(Harry), Tony (Cindy), Raymond (Cathy) and Minh and his brothers-in-law Philip (Susan) and Gareth (Susan) and his many nieces and nephews.

On Friday May 31st we sadly lost a wonderful husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend.
Ted was born in the Netherlands November 7th 1933 and moved to Canada at the age of 21.
Loving husband of 64 years to Trudy Arnts.
Father to Michael(Brenda)Arnts, Jodi(Steve)Payne, Lisa(Pete)Ford, Ted(Joanna)Arnts.
Grandfather to Brian, Chris(Ginessa), Samantha(Mike), Stevie(Rachel), Brianna(Robert), Lindsay(Raihaan), Jake(Laura).
Great grandfather to Finley, Dylan, Audrey, Hailey, Logan, Hudson, Bennett and one more expected in September.
After doing various work he and Trudy started Arnts Loam Supply in 1972 which has now expanded into Arnts the Landscape Supplier.
Ted was also an active member of the Knights of Columbus doing a lot of volunteer work for the community.
Funeral mass will be held at St. Isaac Jogues Roman Catholic Church, 1148 Finch Ave., Pickering on Saturday, June 15, 2024 at 10:30 am followed immediately by a celebration of Ted’s life in the church hall then burial in Whitby at Resurrection Catholic Cemetery.

Bea was very active within the church community throughout her life.

Fred Watson died peacefully on Thursday, May 30 surrounded by his family, after a long and valiant battle with cancer. He was 79.
Beloved husband of Geri Inglis and father of his treasured son, James.
Also survived by his brother, Andy (Nancy), several nieces, nephews, grand-nieces and grand-nephews. Fred was predeceased by his parents, Archie (2005) and Jennie (2010), and brother Ron (2022).Fred was born in Weston ON and spent his first five years on the family farm in Etobicoke and was eldest brother of Andy and Ron.
The family then moved to another farm in Ballantrae ON where he lived and attended school (Ballantrae PS and Stouffville District High School), excelled in athletics, and worked on the farm until he left to attend the University of Toronto.
Following university and teacher training, Fred taught History, Guidance, and Co-op Ed for the Durham District School board for 30 years. Fred and Geri spent much of their retirement travelling - often for the purpose of birdwatching, cruising, and enjoyed spending the winters in the sunny south, primarily at the southern tip of Texas.
Fred also enjoyed gardening, being a spectator of the NFL and NCAA football and basketball, and took up golf in his retirement. At one point he was in three golf leagues and golfed a 4th time during the week.
The family would like to invite friends to a memorial visitation at BARNES MEMORIAL FUNERAL HOME , 5295 Thickson Road North Whitby ON on Friday, June 7 from 1pm to 4pm. Cremation has taken place.
