ALLAN, John Trenholme - Last call has been served to John Trenholme Allan, born in Montreal, QC, on April 28, 1957, died in Kincardine, ON, on September 26, 2015, aged 58 years.
Son of Jane (née Trenholme), and John Allan, and big brother to Andrew and Geoffrey, John is survived by all four.
From a very early age John's character was defined by an indomitable free spirit, an outgoing personality, and a fierce loyalty to his brothers
.
His gift for meticulous mechanical ingenuity earned him both a long career in Ontario Hydro's nuclear-power sector and high praise from friends and colleagues alike (often one and the same).
His irrepressible sense of humor and perpetual optimism will be sorely missed by all who knew and loved him.
The family would like to especially thank Irene Hemmers & Murray Lamont for being such great neighbors, Heinz Pepper for his friendship, and Dr. Scott and the wonderful staff at South Bruce Grey Health Center for their dedicated and gentle professionalism.
A celebration of his life will be held in Kincardine at a date to be locally announced in October. Next summer his ashes will be interred in Metis Beach, QC, his childhood summer home, where he will be reunited with old friends and where his adventures can continue in peace.

BLANCHARD, Gordon - Passed away peacefully surrounded by his family at Seaforth Community Hospital on Saturday, September 26, 2015.
Born in McKillop Township on November 10, 1924, Gordon Hugh Blanchard of Seaforth was in his 91st year.
Beloved husband of 66 years to Ada (nee Nichol) Blanchard. Loving father of Julia Stewart of Clinton, Ron Blanchard of Seaforth, John and Susan Blanchard of Seaforth, Debbie and Hank Van Galen of Woodstock and Frances Rowley of London.
Cherished Grandpa of 19, Great-Grandpa of 18 and Great-Great Grandpa of two.
Also survived by his brother-in-law Ben Gibson of Fordwich. Gordon will be missed by his nieces, nephews, friends and numerous foster children he and Ada cared for over 40 years.
Predeceased by his parents Hiram and Gladys (nee Turnbull) Blanchard, infant son Charles Blanchard, son-in-law David Stewart, and siblings Helen Nichol (Mel), Berva Watson (Gerald), Keith Blanchard and Edith Gibson.
Visitation will be held at McGlynn Family Funeral Home, 87 Goderich St. W., Seaforth, on Tuesday, September 29th from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Gordon’s funeral service will be held at Bethel Bible Church, 120 Main St., Seaforth on Wednesday, September 30, 2015 at 11 a.m. Interment will take place in Maitlandbank followed by a reception at Bethel Bible Church.
