Robert (Bob) Sinclair Wilson

May 1, 1946 - January 4, 2025

Surrounded by his loved ones, Robert (Bob) Sinclair Wilson, 78, of Markham, Ontario, passed away peacefully at Southlake Regional Health Centre on January 4, 2025, after a brave battle with melanoma.

Born May 1, 1946, in Toronto, Bob was predeceased by his parents, Robert and Helen Wilson, his brother Tom (Margaret) Wilson, and beloved grandson, Mitchell Wilson. He is survived by his wife, Pamela, his two children, Craig (Tiffany) and Cheryl (Kevin). Bob will be lovingly remembered by his grandchildren Emma, Kaylen, and Evelynn and his four nephews, Marc, Ian, Ash, and Evan. Bob was also a special “Dad” to Danielle and Scott Sheridan and “Epa” to Mathieu, Zachary, and Cassandra. He will be missed by all of his extended family and many friends, especially those from the East York Barbershoppers.

Bob began his working life following his father and uncle into their industrial machine knife business, Wilson Grinding Ltd. on Blake Street in Toronto. Later joined by his son Craig, he continued to work towards creating success in the family business, eventually renaming it Wilson Machine Knife Ltd. to reflect the evolving modernity of the industry.

Bob loved the tranquillity of nature and spent his leisure time at his cottage on Georgian Bay, Clearwater Beach. His parents first established this tradition in the 1940s and later built the current cottage in 1970. Bob was a true family man and enjoyed spending summers together at the cottage where cherished memories were made.

Bob was passionate about music and understood the connection between singing and the heart. His enthusiasm for all things Barbershop was discovered in 1978 when he found his home in the East York Barbershoppers Chorus. He was a valued member of the organization as a beloved Tenor in the chorus as well as for the leadership roles he adopted during his tenure. It is here he made many of his lifelong friendships and experienced singing all around the globe.

To honour Bob's life and legacy, a celebration of life will occur in the spring, with details to be shared closer to the event.

To honour Bob’s memory, the family requests that donations be made to Harmonize for Speech, an organization dear to his heart.

Bradley Wyndham

January 8, 2025

It is with great sadness that we share the passing of Brad Wyndham after a short battle with cancer on January 8, 2025. Brad was a loving father, a devoted husband, a cherished brother, and a loyal friend. He will be missed by many. He found his happy place at his cottage in Gravenhurst but sadly did not live long enough to achieve his dream of living there full time. His best days were spent in the company of his family and close friends, or coming up with a unique solution to any problem he encountered.

Brad was one of the smartest people, who excelled at everything he put his mind to. He started his professional career as an accountant, obtained his law degree, and made a huge impact on all who employed and reported to him. In the latter part of his career, he started a business which he ran successfully until he got sick.

Brad leaves his wife, Brandé, his children Aidan, Jordan, Hunter, and Devlin, his sister Jo-Anne (Jeff), his nephew Jason (Kim), his niece Sami, countless friends, and his loyal and faithful companion, Otis. All will miss him terribly. He was the son of the late Melvyn and the late Sylvia Wyndham, and the son-in-law of John and Susan Schothuis.

Please honour Brad’s memory with a donation to Markham Stouffville Hospital Palliative Care Unit. Brad’s family especially thanks all the doctors and nurses who provided his care with compassion and tenderness over these past months.

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved dad, Bernard Yaroff, on Saturday, December 21, 2024, at the remarkable age of 95. Born in Hamilton, Ontario, on June 22, 1929, to Dimitros (Michael) and Ksenia Yarosko, Bernie (Bronyslow) was the youngest sibling of Olga Motkaluk (predeceased) and Anthony Groch (predeceased).

Bernie was an avid sports fan, a dedicated football player, and a lifelong supporter of the Hamilton Tiger Cats. A musician, dancer, and singer, he remained deeply connected to his Ukrainian heritage, which led him to meet the love of his life and future bride, Anne (Demchyshyn). The couple shared many years of partnership in both dance and life, marrying during Hurricane Hazel on October 16, 1954.

Together, they moved to Ajax, Ontario, where Bernie began his career with CMHC as an appraiser. Later, they designed and built their lifelong home in Whitby, where they raised their three children, Mark, Greg, and Tammy. They lived at 121 Raglan Street for 60 years before transitioning to Harmony Hills Retirement Home when Anne was diagnosed with Alzheimer’s.

After retiring from CMHC, Bernie continued to explore his Ukrainian roots by traveling as a tour guide. He and Anne later enjoyed adventures around the world, as well as playing side by side in the Toronto Mandolin Orchestra. A devoted family man and loyal friend, Bernie cherished good celebrations, most recently marking his 95th birthday surrounded by lifelong friends.

After a brief stay in the hospital, Bernie joined Anne, who passed in 2022, to spend eternity together again for Christmas. He is survived by his children, Mark (Diana), Greg (Sandra), and Tammy (Steve); his grandchildren, Candice (Dave), Brittney (Freddy), Jesse, Paige, Ashley, Holly (Luke), Brady (Laura), Nicole (Trent), and Ryan; and his great-grandchildren, Jordan, Logan, Nolan, Mason, Maverick, Tavely, Ellie, Talon, Clay, and Cali.
