1947 – 2024

It is with profound sadness that we announce the unexpected passing of Gail Elizabeth Hunt at the age of 77 at Brockville General Hospital. Gail was a dedicated and beloved bus driver for over 45 years, taking great pride in ensuring the safety of her young passengers. During her summers, Gail cherished spending time camping and enjoying the trailer with her grandsons Zachary, Kaelan, Colyn, and Emerson, where they made s’mores and octopus hotdogs.

Gail leaves behind her best friend and husband of 57 years, Lorne. The two soulmates enjoyed evenings at bingo, Sunday drives to the casino, and dinner dates at Blockhouse Island. Gail and Lorne loved spending time with family and friends, especially their son Jayson (Julie) and daughter Lisa (Jeff), with whom they spent every holiday.

Gail is also survived by her beloved sister, Mary Shultz, and sisters-in-law Judy Sargent (Charles) and Marilyn Haskin, as well as many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents, Albert and Gladys Delosh, and her sisters Frances and another sister in infancy.

Rest in peace, Gail. Your memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved you.
