MYETTE, ELSIE EILEEN, passed away peacefully at Glen Hill Terraces (Whitby) on Tuesday, November 12, 2024, in her 95th year. Lovingly remembered by her sons Leonard Myette (Brenda), Lonnie Myette, and the late Lawrence Myette (Debi). She will be sadly missed by her grandchildren Nicole (Joe), Robert (Monica), Kaitlin, Alex (Maggie), Christine (Mike), Jeff (Jade), and her great-grandson Ryker. Elsie will also be fondly remembered by Debi’s daughters, Kailey and Leah.
Predeceased by her father Harold Arrowsmith, her mother Lilian Arrowsmith, her sisters June Hargraves and Ruth Levick, her husband Vincent Myette, and her son Lawrence Myette.
Elsie attended Nurses College and graduated as a Registered Nurse. She dedicated over 25 years of her nursing career to Whitby Psychiatric Hospital, retiring at the age of 59. In retirement, she traveled extensively, exploring many parts of the world. Known in Whitby as a devoted and tireless volunteer, Elsie earned numerous accolades for her service, including Whitby’s prestigious Peter Perry Award and the Queen’s Jubilee Medallion.
Family and friends will be received at Barnes Memorial Funeral Home at 5295 Thickson Road North, Whitby, on Saturday, November 23, 2024, from 12:00 noon to 1:00 p.m. The funeral service will follow at the Barnes Funeral Chapel, with a luncheon afterward in the Barnes Memorial Funeral Home reception room. A private family interment will be held at a future date.
Donations in memory of Elsie may be made to Community Care Durham or a charity of your choice.

Christopher Aaron Sutherland passed away suddenly on November 3rd in Belleville, Ontario.
Chris was the beloved father of Axle and Mayia, who miss him greatly. He leaves behind his parents, Neil Sutherland of Stirling, Ontario, and Helen and Dale Garton of Guelph, Ontario. He will be missed by his grandparents, John and Faye Tait of Port Perry, and Dorren Lebar and Ian McAllister of Orillia. He was predeceased by his grandparents Robert and Alva Sutherland of Utica.
Chris is mourned by his siblings, John Sutherland (Amy), Mathew Johnson (Jess), Joshua Garton (Megan), Tyler Sutherland (Tricia), and his sister Ashlee Sutherland (Vince). He is lovingly remembered by his nieces and nephews Dallas, Madelyn, Fallon, Maverick, Barrett, and Lachlan. He is also predeceased by his sister, Brittany Garton, and sister-in-law, Sarah Sutherland.
A private service will be attended by family, and cremation will follow.

Passed away peacefully and with grace on Thursday, November 7th, 2024, at the grand age of 97.
Predeceased by her husband Fred (2000) and her daughter Patti Scott (2010) (late Doug, 2005). Loving mother of Paul Brown (Yvonne) and Elizabeth Kagazchi (Bill). Cherished grandmother of Donald (Marnie), Katherine (Kelly), Lindsay (Kiron), Johnathan (Taylor), and Soraya. Great-grandmother of Emma, Elizabeth, Nora, Auryn, Theodore, and Luna. Betty will be fondly remembered by her niece Linda (nee Eastwood) Whittingham (Ron) and family in Australia.

Audrey Elizabeth Nickelchok (Robertson) passed away peacefully at her home on Tuesday, November 5th, 2024, at the age of 61, with her family by her side. She was the loving wife and best friend of Darryl, and the much-loved Mum of Derek (Joana), Chris, Brett (Isabelle), Samantha, and Josh.
Audrey was a devoted Grammy to her cherished grandchildren Mackenzie, Nathan, Madelyn, and Kaelen. She will be dearly missed by her siblings, Brian (Hillary) and Colin (Connie), and is predeceased by her brother Jim, as well as her parents Jim and Jean Robertson. Audrey will also be lovingly remembered by her mother-in-law, Cora Nickelchok, and her brother-in-law, Terry Nickelchok.

Dr. John Stephen Tomas, retired in 2014 after practicing medicine for over 50 years in Oshawa, passed away peacefully at Markham Stouffville Hospital on Sunday, November 3rd, 2024, surrounded by his family.
Predeceased by his beloved wife, Eleanor (2015). He was the much-loved and devoted Tata of Karen Tomas and her partner Larry, and Diane Tomas and her partner Gerry. Cherished Dziadzia of Hope and Melissa, and Great Dziadzia of Sawyer. Survived by his brother, Michael Tomas, and his wife Rita.

She was the loving wife of 68 years to the late William Bryans (2021) and a much-loved mother to Jeanie Wilkinson (Wayne), Donnie Bryans (Colleen), Bonnie Martin, and Jimmie Bryans (Sue). Jean was predeceased by her sons, Jerry and Roly, and is fondly remembered by daughters-in-law Debbie and Rowena.

Jean is also predeceased by her sisters Helen, Edna, Eileen, and Dorothy, and will be warmly remembered by many nieces, nephews, and their families.

Michael Roy Butler passed away peacefully at Lakeridge Health Oshawa on Sunday, November 3, 2024, at the age of 54.
He was the much-loved husband of Cindy and a cherished Dad to Brock. Michael is survived by his parents, Roy and Margaret Butler, and dear siblings, Teresa (Chris) and Tara. Mike will be remembered fondly by several aunts, uncles, nieces, and nephews.
