It is with immense sadness that the family announces the passing of Paul Thomas Somerville, who left us peacefully at home on Thursday, December 5, 2024, at the age of 54. Born in Toronto, Paul was a devoted father to Harrison, Carly, and Mia. He was the cherished son of Bill and April, a beloved brother to Steven (Diana) and Dawn (Mark), and a fun-loving uncle to Erin, Jamie, Lauren, Connor, Megan, and Cameron.

Paul was known for his generous and forgiving nature, and his children meant the world to him. He will be deeply missed by his lifelong friends who could always count on his support and laughter. His colleagues at Research Capital will fondly remember Paul as “the longest-serving Branch Manager on Bay Street.”

Paul found joy in spending time with his children, golfing, gardening, cooking, and collecting Jordans. A true sports fanatic and betting enthusiast, he also delighted in making others laugh.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Paul’s memory can be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation. His spirit and love will continue to inspire all who knew him.
