Age 75, of Bowmanville, Ontario passed away on Wednesday, June 19, 2024. Michele (Mike) was born in Venosa, Potenza, Italy.

A visitation for Michele (Mike) will be held Monday, June 24, 2024 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at COURTICE FUNERAL CHAPEL, 1587 Highway #2, Courtice, ON L1E 2R7.

A funeral service will occur Tuesday, June 25, 2024 at 10:30 AM at COURTICE FUNERAL CHAPEL .

HAYES, Alan  -
14 FEBRUARY, 1956 – 18 JUNE, 2024

Passed away peacefully on June 18th 2024 at Sunnybrook Hospital, at age 68.

Alan will be lovingly remembered by his wife Dorthy Stephens and his children Cassandra (Dwight), Lucas (Trishan), and Lindsey (Luke), and step-children Shan and Kyle.

A loving papa to his grandchildren Marlye, the late Ginelle, Khalil, Savannah, Landyn, Camryn, Addy, and Kennedy. Fondly remembered by siblings Ian (Kathy), Gina (Pete), and Larry (Melita).

He will be missed by former wife Alice. Alan was also blessed by many loving great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Alan dedicated 25 years of his working life to children and families in crisis.

He was active in his community, including local politics and the PC Party of Canada.

Alan grew up as a great track athlete and wrestler. He continued in his adult life to be actively involved in Youth Track and Field and the Durham XL's track club. He was a sports enthusiast of all kinds and a fanatic Toronto Maple Leafs fan. If the Leafs make it to the Cup next year, we can attribute it to Alan's ongoing support from the other side.

A Celebration of Life will be held upstairs at Riley's Pub (104 King Street East, Oshawa) on Monday June 24th from 3:30-7:30pm.

MARKLE, Katherine Ann Markle -
25 JUNE, 1963 – 15 JUNE, 2024

It is with tremendous sorrow that we announce the passing of Katherine Ann Markle, age 60, of Oshawa, Ontario on Saturday, June 15, 2024, surrounded by her loving family. Loving mother of Kristen (Joey) and Ryan.

Lovingly remembered by her grandchildren Alaina and Madison. Dear sister of Christine and Terry.

Katherine will be missed by Terry Markle, the father of Kristen and Ryan, and her extended family.

She will also be missed by her best friend Riley, her Golden Retriever. Katherine had a big heart and cared deeply for the ones she loved. She cherished her title of "Nana" and was so proud of her two beautiful grandbabies.

The family takes comfort in knowing she is at peace now and reunited with her parents, Mary and Terry McLaughlin.

Visitation will be held at the COURTICE FUNERAL CHAPEL, 1587 Highway 2 Courtice on Wednesday June 26th from noon until 1:30 pm. A Celebration of Life will take place in the Chapel at 1:30 pm. Details about the reception will follow.
