It is with deep sadness and love that we announce the passing of our beloved father, Salvatore Gradanti. He passed away peacefully surrounded by loved ones on November 17th, 2024, at the age of 80. Salvatore was a beloved husband, father, and Nonno who will be deeply missed by his family and friends.
He is survived by his devoted wife, Santina (nee Dimartino), and children: Carmela (David), and sons Santo (Miguel), Sebastian (Holly), and Alexander (Janice). He was a proud Nonno to four grandchildren: Joshua (Sarah), Samantha (Aaron), and Brianna (mother Melissa). He is forever in our hearts and remembered by his siblings Graziela Paglialunga and Corradina Agosta.
Salvatore was preceded in death by his father Santo Gradanti and mother Carmela Gradanti (nee Lorefice).
The family would like to extend heartfelt thanks to the entire team at Regency Long-term Care for the compassionate care and dedication they provided during his time there. Your kindness and professionalism brought us great comfort during this difficult time.

John “Big John” Campbell
December 2, 1947 - October 22, 2024
In loving memory of John “Big John” Campbell, aged 76, of Scarborough, who passed away peacefully on October 22, 2024.
John was born on December 2, 1947, in Halifax, Nova Scotia, to Major Donald and Annabella Campbell. As the child of a military family, he moved frequently and spent summers in the cadet corps, where he excelled as a sharpshooter and achieved the rank of Master Cadet. He later joined the Cameron Highlanders of Canada.
John’s talents extended to sports, where he played baseball, hockey, and football, representing Neil McNeil and Cedarbrae high schools, and later the University of Toronto. His career with Bell Canada spanned four decades, culminating in his retirement as VP of Operations in 2004. Throughout his career, he formed lasting friendships that enriched his life until his final days.
John is survived by his devoted wife, Marni; his children, John (Marie) and Colette (Jason); and his grandchildren John, Samantha, Ian, and Annabelle. He is also remembered with love by his siblings, Russel (Donna), Colin (Gail), Donald (Jane), and sister Margaret Mary (John); his brother-in-law Ian (Marlene); and numerous cousins, nieces, and nephews. John was preceded in death by his parents.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, October 29, 2024, from 5:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at De Stefano Funeral Home in Oshawa. A funeral service will follow at 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday, October 30, 2024, at Holy Family Church in Whitby, with interment at Resurrection Catholic Cemetery.
Donations in John’s memory to SickKids Hospital would be appreciated by the family.
