Man smiling, wearing a yellow shirt.Keith Michael Spratt
2024

At the age of 79, Keith Michael Spratt transitioned into God’s glory on October 14, 2024, surrounded by his adoring family. He was the beloved husband and best friend of Marcia “Marsh,” the love of his life. Keith was a devoted and loving father to Jamie (Kevin) Morneau, Jocelyn (Pete) Grammatico, Jeanelle (John) Spratt-Paul, and Joelle (Matt) Green. He was a cherished and playful Poppa to Malia, Ellesia, Maiya, Christina, Keith, Miles, and Sutton.

Keith is survived by his dear brother Gary (Sue), and was predeceased by his siblings Brian, Karen, and Linda. He was a loving brother-in-law to Theresa (Adrian) Sanderson, and is reunited with his parents, Gertrude (Bud) and Nolan, and his brother-in-law Wade Gates. He will be deeply missed by his many nieces and nephews, who he treated as his own children.

Throughout his life, Keith did God’s work, serving as a Big Brother, sponsoring people affected by war, and dedicating his efforts to the Knights of Columbus. He was a fierce advocate for justice, always standing up for the underdog. His generosity knew no bounds, and he worked tirelessly to ensure everyone felt loved and included. Keith’s heart was especially connected to the people of Haiti, where he and Marcia established a Sponsorship Program for children and the elderly, as well as a medical fund to support those in need.

However, nothing compared to the deep love Keith held for his family. They were his pride and joy, and his legacy lives on through them. His family was his sunrise and sunset, and they will forever carry his memory in their hearts.

Donations in Keith’s memory may be made to Hearts Together for Haiti or the Javelin Education and Medical Fund.

Visitation will be held on Sunday from 3:00-5:00 p.m. and 7:00-9:00 p.m., with parish prayers at 7:30 p.m., at Families First, 3260 Dougall Ave., South Windsor. Family and friends are invited to gather after 10:00 a.m. for the funeral mass, which will take place at 11:00 a.m. at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church, 904 Grand Marais Road East. Cremation will follow.

“May perpetual light shine upon him, may he rest in peace. Amen.”

Smiling elderly man.Samuel Glen Bridgen
1954 - 2024

It is with sad and broken hearts that we announce the peaceful passing of Samuel Glen Bridgen in 2024, surrounded by his loving family, after a long and courageous battle with cancer. Sam, known for his positive spirit, was the best friend and soul mate to Ruth (née Armbrust), his wife of 46 wonderful years. He was the cherished and devoted father of Jodi (Chris), Lorene (Brian), and Kevin (Melissa). Proud Grandpa to Taylor, Gabby, and soon-to-arrive Baby Lennie, Sam was especially adored by his great-great-niece Gracie Rose.

Sam will be missed by his lifelong best friend, Gordon Mundy, whom he had known for over 70 years. He was the beloved son of Glen (2010) and Janet Bridgen (2023), and son-in-law to George (2008) and Marjorie (2018) Armbrust. Dear brother to Elsie, Kaye (Jim), Beverly, Maxwell (Ron), Nancy, and Brad (late Omar 2019). He was a special brother-in-law to Helen Geddes, Marlene Crepp, and Donald Armbrust. Sam's nieces, nephews, and many others will remember him for his generosity and skill as “Mr. Fix-It.” His passion for fixing motors and helping others was well-known in the community, and his garage was often the go-to place for any repair needs.

A valued and dedicated employee at Moncur Electric/Morrish Electro Mechanical for over 35 years, Sam’s work and his willingness to assist others made him a pillar of his community. His family is deeply grateful to Dr. Jeff Price, Dr. Woldie, Dr. Jarrar, and the Windsor Cancer Centre staff, as well as the Emergency Department and the 7th-floor team at Metropolitan Hospital. Special thanks to the Hospice of Windsor for their compassionate care during Sam's final days.

Visitation will be held at Families First East Windsor (1065 Lauzon Road) on Wednesday, October 16, 2024, from 2:00 PM to 7:00 PM. Cremation will follow, and a private memorial service and interment will take place at a later date. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to the All Saints’ Anglican Church Memorial Fund or The Hospice of Windsor and Essex County.
