With deep sorrow, we announce the passing of Ann Hiemstra of Aylmer, who entered into glory to be with her Lord and Savior on Friday, February 21, 2025, at the age of 81, with her family by her side.
Beloved wife of Henry Hiemstra. Loving mother of Terry Hiemstra (Freda) of Brownsville, Chris Hiemstra (Christy) of Aylmer, and Wendy Dieleman (Sam) of London. Cherished grandmother of Joanna, April (Cam), Gwen, John, Justin (Jess), Caitlyn (Tyler), the late Jordan (2016), Hannah, Jude, Jeremiah, and Timoteo. Great-grandmother of Maya, Eloise, and Madeleine.
Ann will be dearly missed by her brother Bill Jonkers (Gertie) and sister Tina Daling (Ralph), as well as her nieces and nephews.
Born in Assen, The Netherlands, on March 13, 1944, Ann was the daughter of the late Arend and Tina (née Rieber) Jonkers. She dedicated her life to teaching at Immanuel Christian School and, alongside her husband Henry, founded Clovermead Apiaries. She was also a devoted member of Bethel United Reformed Church.
Visitation will be held at Bethel United Reformed Church on Monday, February 24, 2025, from 3:00 – 6:30 p.m. A funeral service will follow at the church on Tuesday, February 25, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. Interment will take place at Aylmer Cemetery.

McCallum, Veronica Jane “Bonnie” of Aylmer passed away at St. Thomas Elgin General Hospital on Tuesday, December 17, 2024, in her 72nd year. Beloved wife of David McCallum. Dear mother of Frank Masales (Nancy) of Port Burwell and Shawn McCallum of Aylmer. She will be missed by her brother Art Manchester (Linda) and sister Myrtle Birch, as well as many nieces and nephews.
Bonnie was predeceased by her son Johnny Masales, her brother Richard Manchester, and her sisters Judy Miller and Sandra Brown. Born in Leamington, Ontario, on August 11, 1953, she was the daughter of the late Glen and Georgia Manchester.
Visitation will be held at H. A. Kebbel Funeral Home, Aylmer, on Thursday, December 19, 2024, from 6:00 to 8:00 PM. The funeral service will be held at the funeral home on Friday, December 20, 2024, at 1:00 PM. Interment to follow at Orwell Cemetery.
