Mary Rose Moir passed away peacefully on January 10, 2025, in her 95th year. She was a beloved mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, deeply cherished by her family and friends.
Visitation will be held at John T. Donohue Funeral Home, 362 Waterloo St., London, on Tuesday, January 14, 2025, from 3-5 p.m. Prayers will be held at 3 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will take place at St. Michael’s Church on Wednesday, January 15, 2025, at 11 a.m., followed by interment at St. Peter’s Cemetery.

Peacefully at home surrounded by his family, Francesco D’Arrisso passed away in his 93rd year.
Devoted husband to Giuseppina (née Del Re) for 66 years. Deeply loved father to Antonio D’Arrisso (Lucia), Anna Dzongowski (Peter), and Silvana Pacifico (Salvatore). Proud and cherished Nonno to Perry (Kayla), Samantha (Nathan), Emily (Wesley), Elena, David, Alex, Michael, and Erin. Special great-grandfather to Paxton, Ramona, and Maverick.
Predeceased by his siblings Giuseppina Minelli, Angelo, and Suor Filomena, as well as brothers- and sisters-in-law Antonio Minelli, Antonietta D’Arrissi, Salvatore D’Andrea, Pasquale Pepe, and Giovanni Circelli. Fondly remembered by in-laws Concetta Circelli, Maria D’Andrea, Antonietta Pepe, Michele and Maria Del Re, and many nieces and nephews.
Born in San Bartolomeo in Galdo, Italy, Francesco immigrated to Canada in 1958. Starting with little, he built a life of personal and professional success, enjoying retirement with travel, family gatherings, gardening, and wine-making. A humble man, Francesco was admired for his resilience, honesty, integrity, and devotion to his faith. His family will forever cherish his kind and gentle nature, paired with his witty sense of humour.
Visitation: Visitors will be received at John T. Donohue Funeral Home, 362 Waterloo Street, London, Ontario, on Sunday, December 22, 2024, from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. and on Monday, December 23, 2024, from 8:30 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. Prayers will be held on Sunday at 8:30 p.m.
Funeral Mass: Monday, December 23, 2024, at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, 345 Lyle Street, London, Ontario, at 10:00 a.m.
Entombment: St. Peter’s Cemetery, Holy Family Mausoleum, 806 Victoria Street, London, Ontario.

Lillian Irene Marshall passed away peacefully at University Hospital on December 1, 2024, in her 97th year. She was the beloved wife of the late James Smith Marshall, with whom she shared 55 wonderful years of marriage.
Irene was a cherished mother to Ted, Ray, and Ron (Debbie) and a much-loved friend to Diane Capitano. She was a proud grandmother to Tracy and Stuart Marshall and a loving great-grandmother to Kaya, Leah, and Aiden Marshall.
She is survived by her dear sister Dorothy McClelland. Predeceased by her parents William and Lillian McLellan, as well as her siblings Harold, Gordon, William, and Anne.
Visitors will be received at John T. Donohue Funeral Home, 362 Waterloo Street at King Street, on Wednesday, December 11, 2024, from 1:00 p.m. until the time of the funeral service at 2:00 p.m. Interment will follow at St. Peter’s Cemetery.

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the peaceful passing of Hugh Francis Short on Sunday, November 24, 2024, at the L.H.S.C. Victoria Hospital at the age of 86. Hugh was a devoted husband to his late wife, Claire Short, for 50 wonderful years. He was a cherished father to Theresa Short, Sheila Clarke (late Guy), the late Patricia Leonard (Chris), and Susan Macedo (Firmino).
Hugh will always be remembered as a loving grandfather to Lisa, Joshua (Samantha), Kaley, and Grace. He was a dear brother to the late Mary McTaggart (Ross), Terry Wood (Ken), and Bill Short (Maureen). Hugh leaves behind a legacy of love and devotion cherished by his nieces, nephews, and many friends.
A longtime member of St. John the Divine Church and a 4th Degree Knight of Columbus, Hugh dedicated much of his life to his faith and community. His kindness and gentle spirit touched all who knew him, and he will be greatly missed.
