Alan Stuart Plummer

In His 81st Year

Suddenly, at his home in Oshawa, on Monday, December 30, 2024, Alan Stuart Plummer passed away at the age of 81. Alan was the beloved husband of Judy (nee Tamblyn) for 57 wonderful years. He was a loving father to Laura Parkes (Sarah), Kristen Dewhirst, and Mark (Candace). Alan was the proud and adoring Grandpa of Josie and Rosie.

Survived by his sisters Carol Holdstock (Oliver) and Margaret Miner (Paul), Alan will also be fondly remembered by his nieces, nephews, and cherished fur babies, Jasper and Peaches. His memory will live on in the hearts of his family and friends.

Cremation arrangements have been entrusted to McINTOSH-ANDERSON-KELLAM FUNERAL HOME LTD., 152 King St. E., Oshawa (905-433-5558). A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date to honor Alan's legacy and the profound impact he had on those around him.

Suddenly, at his home, on Thursday, December 26, 2024, at the age of 48. Loving Dad of Abbi Van De Walker, Rheanna Couperthwaite, and Zachary Couperthwaite. Grandpa to be.

Beloved son of Katey (John) Izzard and the late Gord Van De Walker. Fun and caring brother of Liz (Darren) and Kirk (Dana). Chad will be missed by many nieces and nephews, extended family, and friends.

Maureen Beverley Gough

[1944] - December 28, 2024

After a long and courageous battle with cancer, Maureen Beverley Gough passed away on Saturday, December 28, 2024, at Lakeridge Health Oshawa, in her 80th year.

She is predeceased by her parents, Len and Lil Barker, and her husband of 48 years, Wayne Gough. Maureen is survived by her daughter, Stephanie, son-in-law Ian, and cherished grandchildren Emily and Matthew.

Maureen will be remembered as a kind and passionate person whose warmth touched all who knew her.

Mark Richard Cosens passed away on Friday, December 27, 2024, at St. Michael’s Hospital in Toronto, in his 68th year.

Mark was the dear brother of Eric (Lorrie) of Napanee and Carol of Oshawa, and the beloved son of the late Alexander and June Cosens. Mark will be remembered fondly by his family and friends for his kindness and the many memories he shared with those around him.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend visitation at McIntosh-Anderson-Kellam Funeral Home Ltd., 152 King St. E., Oshawa, on Thursday, January 2, 2025, from 12:30 p.m. until the time of the service in the funeral home chapel at 1:30 p.m. Interment will follow at Thornton Cemetery, 1200 Thornton Road North, Oshawa.

David Douglas Churchill

February 27, 1964 - December 24, 2024

After a brief battle with cancer and a longer battle with lung disease, David Douglas Churchill went to be with his Lord and Saviour on December 24, 2024, at the age of 60. Born on February 27, 1964, in Oshawa, Ontario, David was a cherished husband, father, son, brother, and friend.

David is survived by his loving wife, Carol, and their two children, Katie and Jacob. He will be dearly missed by his sister Marion (Rob) Corner, and his mother Leila Churchill. He was predeceased by his father, Douglas Churchill. He is lovingly remembered by his brothers-in-law Paul Mackay and Bruce (Tanya) Mackay. A treasured uncle, he leaves behind many nieces and nephews who will carry fond memories of him.

A celebration of David's life will be held on January 3, 2025, at 2:00 PM at Sanctus Church (599 Bayly St. E., Ajax), with visitation starting at 12:00 PM. Friends and family are invited to gather to share their memories and pay their respects.

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of John on December 23, 2024. John was born on December 2, 1930, in Darlington, PEI. John lived a full and vibrant life, and to him, family was everything. He was a devoted and loving husband of Rose (nee Brown) for 71 years and a loving father to Heather (Steve) Ball, Garry (Joni), Gail, and John (Adrienne).

Predeceased by his parents, Dan Archibald MacLean and Mary Ann (nee Campbell), daughter-in-law Barbara MacLean, siblings Florence (Jud Mackinnon), Eileen (Roy Lidstone), Clayton (Shirley), and Doris, and brother-in-law Dave Carstairs.

Survived by his brother Gerald (Mavis), brother-in-law Howard MacEachern, sister-in-law Pat Carstairs, brother-in-law Ervin Brown, and former son-in-law Larry Blackman. Dearly remembered by his grandchildren Kristen (Zarnoosh), Derek (Amanda), Laura, Diana, Emily, Evan (Elana), Courtney, Tracy, Trina (David), Jillian (Rob), Jasmin, Simone, John Carter, and Kyle. Fondly remembered by his great-grandchildren Kareena, Allison, Elizabeth, Faye, Charlotte, Adriana, and Casey.

Emerise Bourgeois passed away after a short illness on Monday, December 16th, 2024, at Lakeridge Health Oshawa at the age of 91.

Predeceased by her husband Leo and her son James. Lovingly remembered by her son Paul and his wife Laurie. Devoted Mamère to Alicia, Gordon, and Amanda; great-grandmother to Johnathan, Anlyn, Chloe, and great-great-grandmother to River. Predeceased by her brothers Amos, Steven, Riganald, Aldrice, and sisters Eva, Edna, Laura, Alice, and Corinne. Emerise was a loving sister to Aline Richard Wade and a cherished aunt to many nephews and nieces.

Visitation will be held on Friday, January 3rd, 2025, from 2:00 pm – 4:00 pm and 7:00 pm – 9:00 pm at McIntosh-Anderson-Kellam Funeral Home Ltd., 152 King St. E., Oshawa (905-433-5558).

Rick was the best dad anyone could ask for to Shawn (Sharon), Adam, Stacey (Lance), and Candice (Adam). An adoring Papa to Rayna, Isabelle, Joey, and Connor.
