It is with great sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of Doris Edna Audrey Fletcher, known as Audrey, on December 30, 2024, at Extendicare Port Hope at the age of 92. Born on November 10, 1932, in Bowmanville, Ontario, to Al and Vie Fletcher (née Dilling), Audrey was one of five children.
Predeceased by her life partner Doug Wiseman, brothers Ken (Helen) and Charlie (Teresa) Fletcher, and her dearest sister Jean (James) Firth. Audrey leaves behind her cherished sister Lorna Tremble and her husband John of San Diego, California. She will also be lovingly remembered by her nieces and nephews, including Terry McGill (née Firth) and her husband Derrick; Tyler and Jernay Tremble and family; Hayley Tremble and family; and the late Todd Tremble; as well as Barry Fletcher of Florida and family. Audrey’s memory will also be fondly cherished by her many great and great-great-nieces and nephews.
Audrey dedicated over 30 years to General Motors and was known for her love of human connection. She hosted countless card nights and gatherings filled with joy and laughter. She found peace in life’s simple pleasures, from the warmth of the Florida sun to summers at her trailers in Orono and Picton. She cherished her community, friendships, and the art of making holidays extra special with beautifully wrapped gifts.
A heartfelt thank you to Cheryl and the caring staff at Extendicare Port Hope for their compassionate care in Audrey’s final years.
At Audrey’s request, no visitation or funeral will be held. Cremation has taken place, and she will be interred at Bowmanville Cemetery alongside her family and Doug. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Memory Loss Foundation.

With deep sadness and endless love, Sean and Meagan Powell (née Knowlton) announce the peaceful passing of their beloved son, Levi William Powell, on December 27, 2024. Levi’s short but precious time with us was filled with joy, laughter, and boundless love, leaving an indelible mark on the hearts of all who knew him.
Levi was the cherished grandson of Trevor and Connie Powell (Calgary) and Peter and Susan Knowlton. He was also the treasured great-grandson of Bruce Down. Levi is now at peace, reunited with his loving great-grandmas Joan Down and Marguerite Haynes, who adored him deeply.
Levi’s sweet smile and joyful giggles will forever be remembered by his many aunts, uncles, cousins, and his dedicated caregiver, Sara Petersen.

Mervyn Bryan Kelly passed away peacefully at home on December 24, 2024, surrounded by the love of his family. He was 85 years old. Beloved husband of Connie (Barnett) for 60 wonderful years, Mervyn was a devoted father to Laurie, Christopher (Caroline), and Erin (Brett Smith), and is predeceased by his daughter Pamela.
He was a proud grandfather to Madeleine (Jeremy Rae), Erin, Elizabeth, Julia, and Kendra, and a loving brother to Laurie (CSJ) and Mary. He is predeceased by siblings Doreen, Kitty, and Joe.
Mervyn graduated from Loyola College in Montreal in 1962 and studied law at Osgoode Hall, graduating in 1966. He practiced law in Bowmanville with distinction and was admired for his professionalism and kindness. Known for his beautiful baritone voice, his Ottawa Valley sense of humor, and his profound appreciation for nature, Mervyn cherished his hometown of Chapeau, Quebec, and his time at Lake Kamaniskeg in Barry's Bay.
Fondly remembered by many nieces, nephews, and countless friends and family, Mervyn’s legacy of love, humor, and compassion will endure in the hearts of all who knew him.

Ruth Marlene Golloher (née Horne) passed away suddenly at Lakeridge Health Oshawa on Friday, December 20, 2024, one month before her 90th birthday.
Predeceased by her husband Percy and sons Peter and Randy Golloher, Ruth was the cherished mother of Brenda Dewell (Oshawa), Virginia Dunk (British Columbia), and Angela Golloher (Bowmanville). She is also survived by her daughter Nancy Loveless and her husband Rick. Ruth was a much-loved grandmother to Jason (Vero), Michael, Jessica (Jake), Amber, Lyndsy, Erin, Candace, Lauren, and Rachel. She was an amazing Grandma GG to 22 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great-grandchildren.
Ruth was the sister of Bev Kavanagh (Newmarket) and Pauline Gummer (Robert) of Belleville and was predeceased by her siblings Laura Lobb, Grace Dunning, and Ross Horne.
The family extends special thanks to Rev. Peter Harrichand and his wife Marilyn, as well as the Board of Deacons of First Baptist Church, for their loving support during Ruth’s final days, surrounding her with faith and compassion.

A celebration of Ruth’s life will be held at First Baptist Church, 812 Hortop Street, Oshawa, on January 25, 2025, at 2:00 p.m., with a reception to follow in the lower auditorium. Visitation will take place one hour prior to the service.

Aidan Thomas Cronk passed away early morning on December 12, 2024, peacefully in his sleep at his family home in Newtonville, Ontario.
Cherished husband to Abigail Cronk and dearest father to their little girl Ellie Mae Cronk. Beloved son of Darryl Cronk and Lori Black. Treasured brother to Hannah Cronk and Luke Cronk. A darling grandson to his Papa Ivan Black and the late Genevieve Black ("Gaga") as well as his late grandparents Louise Artus and Thomas Cronk.
Aidan was an incredible father to Ellie and a light in the lives of all who knew him. In his final year of Chemical Engineering, Aidan was looking forward to completing his degree and building a future with his wife and daughter. Passionate about math, science, music, and the outdoors, Aidan enjoyed early morning workouts, evening walks, and spending time at the park with Ellie. He will be dearly missed by all of us.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, January 4, 2025, from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM, followed immediately by a service from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Northcutt Elliott Funeral Home, 53 Division Street, Bowmanville.

Surrounded by his family, John (fondly known as Jack) passed away peacefully in his 88th year on December 23rd, 2024.
Beloved husband of Margaret (nee Bruce) and father to seven children: Darlene Bastianelli (Brian); Cindy Gillani (Aleem); Leann MacLean (Wayne); John Hughes (Corie); Todd Hughes (Danielle); Scott Hughes; and Tyler Hughes.
He will be missed by his grandchildren: Honor, Chloe (Brandyn), Brittany, Brian (predeceased in 2010), Cairo, Zachary, Lincoln (Tamara), Lexus, Taj, Seth, Ezra, and Jaxon; and great-granddaughters Ella and Zara.

Joanne Bernadette Smyth (née Mulhern), born on February 18, 1954, in Quebec, Canada, passed away on December 18, 2024, in Bowmanville, Ontario. Joanne was a dedicated critical care Registered Nurse, a profession that showcased her commitment to caring for others and her exceptional skill in a demanding field. Her career was marked by her unwavering kindness and generosity, traits that made her not only an outstanding nurse but also a beloved friend to many.
Joanne took immense pride in her role as a mother to her son, Ryan, who was the light of her life. She cherished every moment spent with him, and her love for Ryan was evident in all she did. Predeceased by her husband, Blair Smyth, parents, Thomas and Irene Mulhern, and brother, Tommy, Joanne's spirit and warmth continued to touch the lives of those around her.
In addition to her son Ryan (Hailey), she is survived by her dear cat, Brody, her cousin, Michael (MaryAnne), and many close friends. Born on June 2, 1931, to Mary and Harvey Ginn in Blackstock, ON, Dorothy was married to the late Glen W. Tennant (Nip). Loving mother to Glenda of Summerland, BC, Robert of Brighton, ON, and Jodie (Jim) of Havelock, ON. Proud grandmother to Jen Koncovy (Steve), Katie Hayward, Jessica Reid, and Danielle Vannan (Chris). Dorothy was the cherished great-grandmother of Jorja, Allie, Julia, and CJ.
She was predeceased by her brother Bert Ginn (Lynda) and sibling-in-laws Marjorie Best, June Merrill, Roy Tennant, Carmen Tennant, Keith Tennant, Morley Tennant, Lionel Tennant, Bruce Tennant, and Don Tennant. Dorothy is survived by her brother-in-law Ross Tennant (Faye), sister-in-law Joan Gimblett, and many extended family members and dear friends.
