It is with a heavy heart that we announce the passing of our wonderful and dynamic Mom/Gran, Myrla Margaret Sanderson, on December 8, 2024, at the age of 85.
She is survived by her daughter Laurie and granddaughter Maggie, and by her daughter Sharon, son-in-law Gregg, and grandsons Samuel, James, Timothy, and Joseph.
Life rewarded Myrla with a wonderful adventure. Her journey started in Winnipeg, took her to the northern reaches of Quebec, down to the coffee mountains of Jamaica, through the lush rainforest of Guyana, back to the stark white winters of northern Ontario, and finally to the crystal blue waters of Barbados. Along the way, she loved a husband, raised two daughters, and spoiled five grandchildren. Myrla worked tirelessly and contributed to her community in various capacities. She rejoiced in song with fellow choristers and sailed the Grenadians with dolphins. She embraced many cultures and remained open to the beauty of this world and all its people.
Myrla's generous and truly uplifting spirit will be greatly missed.
In lieu of flowers, donations to a charity of your choosing would be appreciated by the family.
No services are scheduled at this time. Friends and family will be notified of any updates.
