Lynne Marie Hume

December 18, 1942 – November 14, 2024

It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Lynne Marie Hume at Credit Valley Hospital in Mississauga following a brief illness. Lynne was a loving mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, whose presence will be missed by all who knew her.

Lynne was born in Etobicoke to Stan and Gwen Dilworth. She grew up alongside her siblings, Rob and Janet, forming lifelong bonds that she cherished. Lynne married Robert Hume in 1965, raising two sons, Greg and Darren. She is predeceased by her husband, Robert, and her son, Darren. Lynne is survived by her son Greg (Fiona), her cherished grandson Ronan, her brother Rob (Katie, Peter, Maggie, Jocelyn), her sister Janet (Peter, Wayne, Adam, Martha), and her sister-in-law Meredith.

Lynne had vibrant energy, an adventurous spirit, and a boundless curiosity for life. She had a deep love for her family and friends, often creating unforgettable memories through shared moments at the family cottage in Muskoka. Lynne enjoyed skiing, tennis, and bridge, always making time to be active and engaged. She was an avid reader, an enthusiastic gardener, and she valued the companionship of her dogs, Dube and Lucky, who brought her comfort and joy. A devoted member of several ladies' groups, Lynne treasured the friendships she built over the years, and her laughter and kindness will remain a lasting legacy.

The family would like to express their heartfelt gratitude for the exceptional care Lynne received during her final days at both Trillium Hospital in Mississauga, under the care of Dr. Kerr and the nursing team, and at Credit Valley Hospital, where Dr. Lim, Dr. Yee, Angela, and the nursing staff provided compassionate care.

A service for Lynne will be held at The Simple Alternative, 1535 South Gateway Road, Mississauga, on Saturday, November 23, 2024. Visitation will begin at 10:00 AM, followed by the service at 11:00 AM.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in Lynne's memory to the Canadian Cancer Society.

Lynne’s love for life, generosity, and zest for adventure will forever be remembered. Rest in peace, Lynne.

Leo passed away peacefully on October 23, 2024, in his 95th year at Woodhaven Long-Term Care Home, with family by his side. Predeceased by the love of his life, Ann, in 2021, Leo missed her deeply every day since her passing. They were married on November 3, 1951, sharing 70 joyful years together. We find comfort in knowing they are now reunited.

Leo will be dearly missed by his daughters Robin (Gavin), Leanne (Brad), and Rhonda (Gary). Leo and Ann made a life together in Scarborough, living in their family home for over 65 years.

In retirement, Leo traveled, enjoyed cruises, and was a longstanding member of St. Andrew’s Church, where he contributed handmade woodworking items for church bazaars. He also worked for the Toronto Blue Jays for a decade, including their two World Series championship years. Leo was a gentle and playful man, loved by all who knew him, and a "Mr. Fix It" to everyone in need.

November 24, 1932 - October 30, 2024

On October 30, surrounded by family and with a full heart, Ronald “Ron” Webb shared a final “I love you all” and peacefully closed his eyes for the last time. He is profoundly missed by his adored wife, Nancy, his children Kim, Terry (Natalia), Susan, and Carol; grandchildren Ian (Alicia), Nicholas (Tania), Mel (Jake), Riley, and Oliver; and his great-grandchildren Charlie and Winnie.

Born in Toronto to Jean and William Webb, Ron was the eldest of five siblings: Dennis, David, Lynda, and Paul. He was deeply influenced by his loving Aunt Isobel and later attended Victoria College and Osgoode Hall Law School, where he made lifelong friends. It was during these days he met Nancy Doubt, his future wife, beginning a beautiful journey together.

In 1957, Ron and Nancy settled in Brampton to raise their family and build Ron’s esteemed career. A pillar of the legal community, Ron joined forces with A. Grenville Davis Q.C. and Bill Davis to form Davis Webb LLP, specializing in municipal and land development law. A respected leader, he supported former Premier Bill Davis and numerous community leaders, served on multiple boards, and was recognized with the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee Medal and a Lifetime Achievement Award.

Ron and Nancy enjoyed a life filled with friendship, travel, and family. Family time was always his priority—memorable family ski trips, summers at the Georgian Bay cottage, and gatherings with loved ones. His warmth, wit, and unwavering support for family and friends will be dearly remembered.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Georgian Bay Land Trust or the Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation in his honor.
