Beverley Anne Carbin (née Smith)

1938 – December 27, 2024

Beverley Anne Carbin’s family and friends are deeply saddened by the loss of their mother, grandmother, sister, confidante, and friend. Beverley passed away peacefully and surrounded by love at her home on December 27, 2024, at the age of 86. She was a singular, intelligent, elegant, vivacious, curious, strong, and loving individual who is already missed dearly.

Whether offering wise counsel to a friend, gathering with family and friends at her cherished cottage on the French River, sharing her legendary Christmas cookies and casseroles, or volunteering with the Out of the Cold program and later the Joseph Brant Hospital Foundation, Beverley brought boundless energy, focus, and generosity to everything she did.

Beverley retired from Joseph Brant Hospital’s Emergency Department, allowing her to dedicate more time to her passions: interior design, gardening, flower arranging, and enjoying meals with adored friends. Above all, she cherished her role as a mother and grandmother, finding immense pride and joy in the lives of her children and grandchildren.

She is predeceased by her parents John and Emily (née Martin), her sister Marie Smith (Don), and her brother Larry Smith (Pat).

In lieu of flowers, donations in Beverley’s memory to the Joseph Brant Hospital Foundation would be greatly appreciated by the family. Beverley held a special connection to Joseph Brant Hospital, where she and her late husband spent decades of their professional careers.
