Merlyn Ada (née Marilyn Turner) Gamble

1943 - 2025

Passed peacefully on Tuesday, February 24, 2025, at the age of 81 after long, hard-fought battles with Cancer and Parkinson’s.

Beloved mother of Jennifer and Lesley, she will be fondly remembered for her grace, wit, and strength. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her, for the undeniably loving spirit she brought into the world, especially her extended family at Algonquin College after 40+ years of teaching.

All are invited to visit from 12:30 p.m. until the time of the Funeral Service at 2:30 p.m. on Friday, February 28, 2025, at Pinecrest Visitation Centre, 2500 Baseline Road, Ottawa. A private interment will follow.

A lifelong foster parent to hundreds of Humane Society animals over the years, in lieu of flowers, memorial donations to the Ottawa Humane Society would be appreciated.
