At the Chatham-Kent Health Alliance Chatham Campus, on Tuesday, October 15, 2024, Frances Julie Gazarek of Chatham passed away at the age of 97 years. Born in Tupperville in 1927, Frances was the daughter of the late Julie (Smistik) and Martin Gazarek. She worked at Navistar until her retirement and is lovingly remembered by her nephew William (Barb) Sherman and by her cousins Ed Gazarek and family, Patty (Dennis) Morgan and family, Mary Buchta, Rose Buchta, and Tom Buchta (Marsha) and family.
Frances was predeceased by her sister Mary Sherman (1990) and her husband Ernest Sherman. Friends and relatives may visit at Hinnegan-Peseski Funeral Home, 156 William St. S. Chatham (519-352-5120) on Saturday, October 19, 2024, from 10 am until 11:30 am. A Funeral Mass will then be celebrated on Saturday at 12 noon in St. Joseph’s Church, followed by burial at St. Anthony’s Cemetery.
