STINER, Georgina (nee Pilkey) - It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of our loving mother, Georgina Stiner, on December 16, 2020 at the age of 89.
As saddened as we are, we are at ease knowing Mom passed during a moment of pure joy, playing Mahjong on her iPad.
Predeceased by her husband Hilliard and her sons Jim and Garry; She will always be cherished by her daughters Lynn (Dave), Donna (Bruce) and daughter-in-law Lorrie.
Proud grandmother of eight grandchildren and twelve great-grandchildren who adored her with all their hearts.
Remembered by her sister Pearl Taylor, foster brother David Pascoe and sister-in-law Margaret Wood; along with extended family and friends.
Mom loved life to the fullest and was the highlight of many family and friend gatherings.
She was an active participant in seniors' clubs in Uxbridge, Goodwood and Claremont, and also loved attending Sunday services at the Life Church in Claremont.
Mom has spent the last four years living at Butternut Manor before moving to her daughter and son-in-law’s (Bruce and Donna) home in Bobcaygeon four months ago. She spent the last four months enjoying the view of the lake while eagerly spotting ducks as they pass by.
“OH BRUCE THERE’S THE DUCKS!”
Due to Covid-19 restrictions, a private family service was held after which Georgina was laid to rest in Uxbridge Cemetery.
A special thank you to Dr. Ahmed for all her incredible support.
In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Georgina to Hearth Place Cancer Centre or SickKids Foundation would be appreciated by the family.
