Passed away peacefully on October 5th, 2024 at Extendicare in Ajax. Mary, in her 88th year, leaves behind her children Kenn Heinrich (Brenda) and Dene Tarkyth. Dear grandmother of Ashlynn and Madison.

Mary is survived by her sister Elizabeth and predeceased by her brothers Douglas, Bill, and Colin. A proud graduate of Western University, Mary stayed close to her University friends over the years. She worked as a Chemist for Atomic Energy of Canada and had a passion for playing Bridge, attending garage sales, and enjoying movies with friends. She was an avid reader, participating in multiple book clubs, and collected blue & white China and frog figurines. Her independent spirit and love for staying busy will be fondly remembered.

As per Mary’s request, cremation has taken place, and a Private Family Service will be held.
If desired, memorial donations to the Alzheimer’s Society of Durham Region would be greatly appreciated by the family.
