TANEL, Giuseppe - The Tanel family has lost its pillar of strength with the sudden passing of Giuseppe (Beppino) Tanel, on December 31, 2018, at the age of 88.
He will be sadly missed by his loving wife Eugenia.
He will never be forgotten by his three children, Maurizio (Sue) Tanel, Susan Tanel and Danny (Amber) Tanel.
Nonno Pino will be forever cherished by his grandchildren: Nicole (Jason), Mathew (Bella), Daniel (Alicia), Nicolas, Monica, Michael and Joseph. He was a beloved bis-nonno to Autumn, Emmerson, Murphy and Zackery.
At the age of 23, Beppino emigrated to Canada, with his wife, to start a new life and raise their family. He loved his adopted home, but his heart has always been in the mountains, where he was born.
He returned every year, to his beloved ‘montagne’. He will be held dear in the hearts of his family and friends on both sides of the ocean.
Visitation will take place at the Delmoro Funeral Home, 61 Beverly Hills Drive, North York, on Thursday, January 3, 2019, from 2:00 to 4:00 pm and 6:00 to 9:00 pm. The funeral mass will be celebrated on Friday, January 4th at 11:00 am, at St. Philip Neri Catholic Church, 2100 Jane Street, Toronto. Entombment to follow in Concord.
If desired, donations in memory of Giuseppe Tanel may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Canada.
