Judith Ann “Judy” Griscti, 61, of Whitby, was called home to the Lord on June 23, 2024 after a fierce battle with cancer.
Judy was the first child of Alfred and Stella Griscti, born on February 22, 1963 in Oshawa, Ontario.
Her love of reading led her to study at York University, graduating in 1986 with a degree in English.
Judy excelled at her work at Ontario Shores, with over 25 years of service as an executive assistant before her retirement in 2016. Judy was an avid crafter, and could often be found scrapbooking, crocheting, or decoupaging while watching her favorite British TV shows.
She was a fan of all genres of music and movies, particularly Elvis Presley and Christmas movies like White Christmas.
Judy was a dedicated member of the Holy Family Catholic Women’s League and was a faithful contributor to her church and community.
Judy is survived by her three beloved children, Finn, Natasha, and Anastasia, who were her greatest joy in life. Judy is also survived by Alex, her dedicated partner for nearly 30 years, and her treasured siblings, Mario (Angie) and Ramona Bugeja (David).
Judy will be missed dearly by her lifelong best friend, Mary Rose Bouwman, by her nephews, James and Ian Bugeja, by her beloved dogs, Tavis and Leia, and by her many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
Visitation will be held from 4:00pm to 8:00pm on Friday, June 28 at OSHAWA FUNERAL HOME (847 King Street West, Oshawa, Ontario).
A funeral mass will be held at 10:30am on Saturday, June 29 at Holy Family Catholic Church (91 Ribblesdale Drive, Whitby, Ontario), Judy’s longtime parish.
